Journal ArticleDOI

miRWalk: An online resource for prediction of microRNA binding sites.

TL;DR: The core of miRWalk is the miRNA target site prediction with the random-forest-based approach software TarPmiR searching the complete transcript sequence including the 5’-UTR, CDS and 3’ -UTR.
Journal ArticleDOI

Epigenetic loss of RNA-methyltransferase NSUN5 in glioma targets ribosomes to drive a stress adaptive translational program

Maxime Janin, +58 more
TL;DR: It is found that human glioma cells undergo DNA methylation-associated epigenetic silencing of NSUN5, a candidate RNA methyltransferase for 5-methylcytosine, which exhibits tumor-suppressor characteristics in vivo gliomas models and leads to the emergence of an adaptive translational program for survival under conditions of cellular stress.
Journal ArticleDOI

Absence of Dysferlin Alters Myogenin Expression and Delays Human Muscle Differentiation “in Vitro”

TL;DR: Results point to a functional link between dysferlin and myogenin, and both proteins may share a new signaling pathway involved in differentiation of skeletal muscle in vitro.
