Site-Selective Electrochemical C-H Cyanation of Indoles.

Nitrogen-containing compounds are ubiquitously found in the fields of organic chemistry, pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, medicinal chemistry and functional materials. The C—H bond amination reaction is one of the most straightforward protocols in the C—N bond formation, showing "step" and "atomic" economy. As a catalyst for C—H amination reaction, copper exhibits its unique catalytic properties due to easily accessible oxidation states. The research progress of copper-catalyzed C—H amination in recent years is summarized. At the same time, reaction mechanisms are also briefly described in representative aminations to provide insights for the development prospects of highly practical and more environmentally benign processes.

A mild, efficient electrochemical approach to the site-selective direct C–H amidation of benzene and its derivatives with acetonitrile and benzonitrile has been developed. It has been shown that joint electrochemical oxidation of various arenes in the presence of a copper salt as a catalyst and nitriles leads to the formation of N-phenylacetamide from benzene and N-benzylacetamides from benzyl derivatives (up to 78% yield). A favorable feature of the process is mild conditions (room temperature, ambient pressure, no strong oxidants) that meet the criteria of green chemistry.

Acetonitrile and benzonitrile as versatile amino sources in copper-catalyzed mild electrochemical C–H amidation reactions

A series of novel indole Schiff base derivatives (2a–2t) containing a 1,3,4-thiadiazole scaffold modified with a thioether group were synthesized, and their structures were confirmed using FT-IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, and HR-MS. In addition, the antifungal activity of synthesized indole derivatives was investigated against Fusarium graminearum (F. graminearum), Fusarium oxysporum (F. oxysporum), Fusarium moniliforme (F. moniliforme), Curvularia lunata (C. lunata), and Phytophthora parasitica var. nicotiana (P. p. var. nicotianae) using the mycelium growth rate method. Among the synthesized indole derivatives, compound 2j showed the highest inhibition rates of 100%, 95.7%, 89%, and 76.5% at a concentration of 500 μg/mL against F. graminearum, F. oxysporum, F. moniliforme, and P. p. var. nicotianae, respectively. Similarly, compounds 2j and 2q exhibited higher inhibition rates of 81.9% and 83.7% at a concentration of 500 μg/mL against C. lunata. In addition, compound 2j has been recognized as a potential compound for further investigation in the field of fungicides.

Synthesis of Novel Indole Schiff Base Compounds and Their Antifungal Activities

Many organophosphorus compounds (OPs), especially various α-aminophosphonates, exhibit anti-cancer activities. They act, among others, as inhibitors of the proteases implicated in cancerogenesis. Thesetypes of inhibitors weredescribed, e.g., for neutral endopeptidase (NEP) expressed in different cancer cells, including osteosarcoma (OS). The aim of the present study isto evaluate new borane-protected derivatives of phosphonous acid (compounds 1–7) in terms of their drug-likeness properties, anti-osteosarcoma activities in vitro (against HOS and Saos-2 cells), and use as potential NEP inhibitors. The results revealed that all tested compounds exhibited the physicochemical and ADME properties typical for small-molecule drugs. However, compound 4 did not show capability of blood–brain barrier penetration (Lipiński and Veber rules;SwissAdme tool). Moreover, the α-aminophosphonite-boranes (compounds 4–7) exhibited stronger anti-proliferative activity against OS cells than the other phosphonous acid-borane derivatives (compounds 1–3),especially regarding HOS cells (MTT assay). The most promising compounds 4 and 6 induced apoptosis through the activation of caspase 3 and/or cell cycle arrest at the G2 phase (flow cytometry). Compound 4 inhibited the migration and invasiveness of highly aggressive HOS cells (wound/transwell and BME-coated transwell assays, respectively). Additionally, compound 4 and, to a lesser extent, compound 6 inhibited NEP activity (fluorometric assay). This activity of compound 4 was involved in its anti-proliferative potential (BrdU assay). The present study shows that compound 4 can be considered a potential anti-osteosarcoma agent and a scaffold for the development of new NEP inhibitors.

The invention discloses a preparation method of ZIF-67 nanoflowers. The preparation method comprises the following steps: (1) respectively dissolving a cobalt salt and 2-methylimidazole in the same solvent to form a clear solution of the cobalt salt and the 2-methylimidazole; (2) mixing the two solutions prepared in the step (1) according to a volume ratio of 1: (0.8-1.2), performing ultrasonic treatment, and standing the mixture for 0.5-24 hours; and (3) washing and filtering the mixture obtained in the step (2) to obtain the ZIF-67 nanoflowers. The preparation method can be used for standingpreparation under a normal temperature condition and is easy to operate and has low requirements on equipment and is convenient for large-scale production. The morphology of the ZIF-67 obtained by the method is of a nanoflower structure, the size of the ZIF-67 nanoflowers is 2-5 microns, the thickness of the lamellar structure in the ZIF-67 nanoflowers is 0.3-0.7 micron, and the BET specific surface area of the ZIF-67 nanoflowers is 500-1000 m g .
