Integrative analysis of pharmacogenomics in major cancer cell line databases using CellMinerCDB

TL;DR: A panel of 41 drugs evaluated in parallel in the NCI-60 and GDSC is reported, supporting drug reproducibility across databases, repositioning of bisacodyl and acetalax for triple negative breast cancer, and identifying novel drug response determinants and genomic signatures for topoisomerase inhibitors and schweinfurthins in development are reported.

Data from: Sequence co-evolution gives 3D contacts and structures of protein complexes

TL;DR: It is shown that analysis of correlated evolutionary sequence changes across proteins identifies residues that are close in space with sufficient accuracy to determine the three-dimensional structure of the protein complexes.

Accurate prediction of transmembrane β-barrel proteins from sequences

TL;DR: The major advance is the use of evolutionary couplings from sequence alignments together with the β-strand prediction to ascertain accurate hydrogen bond between theβ-strands that gives rise to the canonical barrel shapes.
