Journal ArticleDOI

African swine fever virus replication and genomics

TL;DR: African swine fever virus (ASFV) is a large icosahedral DNA virus which replicates predominantly in the cytoplasm of infected cells and a similar mechanism of replication to Poxviruses has been proposed for ASFV.
Journal ArticleDOI

Encoding of a homolog of the IFN-gamma receptor by myxoma virus.

TL;DR: The major secreted protein from cells infected with myxoma virus is encoded by the M-T7 open reading frame, which has significant sequence similarity to the human and mouse receptors for interferon-gamma (IFN-Gamma) and inhibits the biological activity of extracellular IFN-gammas.
