Paper-based microfluidic point-of-care diagnostic devices
TL;DR: This review includes challenges to scaling up, commercialisation and regulatory issues, and the factors which limit paper-based microfluidic devices to become real world products and future directions are also identified.
Journal ArticleDOI
Immobilization of glucose oxidase in ferrocene-modified pyrrole polymers
Journal ArticleDOI
Enzyme entrapment in electrically conducting polymers. Immobilisation of glucose oxidase in polypyrrole and its application in amperometric glucose sensors
TL;DR: A technique is described for the entrapment of glucose oxidase in a polypyrrole matrix electrochemically deposited on a printed platinum electrode, with the enzyme activity incorporated into the polymer found to be proportional to the activity in the electropolymerisation medium.
The Resonant Mirror: a novel optical biosensor for direct sensing of biomolecular interactions
P.E. Buckle,R.J. Davies,C.H. Maule,J O Molloy,D Pollard-Knight,J.M. Cronin,R. Cush,W.J. Stewart,Nicholas J. Goddard,Christopher R. Lowe +9 more
TL;DR: The Resonant Mirror biosensor as mentioned in this paper uses the evanescent wave associated with a dielectric resonant structure to probe reactions occurring in a sensing layer, deposited within a few hundred nanometers of the device surface.
Journal ArticleDOI
Contact Lens Sensors in Ocular Diagnostics
TL;DR: The state‐of‐the‐art in contact lens sensor fabrication, their detection, wireless powering, and readout mechanisms, and integration with mobile devices and smartphones are reviewed.
