US Cosmic Visions: New Ideas in Dark Matter 2017: Community Report

Yonit Hochberg, +241 more
TL;DR: The white paper summarizes the workshop "U.S. Cosmic Visions: New Ideas in Dark Matter" held at University of Maryland on March 23-25, 2017.
Journal ArticleDOI

Readout strategies for directional dark matter detection beyond the neutrino background

TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that directional detectors can probe WIMP-nucleon cross sections below the neutrino floor with little loss in sensitivity due to neutrinos background.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dark matter hurricane: Measuring the S1 stream with dark matter detectors

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of the S1 stream on WIMP and axion detectors as a function of the density of its unmeasured dark component were investigated. And the results showed that axion haloscopes possess the greatest potential sensitivity to the S 1 stream if its dark matter component is sufficiently cold.
