Journal ArticleDOI

Electrochromic devices with polymer electrolytes functionalized by SiO2 and In2O3:Sn nanoparticles: Rapid coloring/bleaching dynamics and strong near-infrared absorption

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of segmental flexibility and free ion concentration on the conduction in the presence of SiO2 was discussed, and it was shown that adding nanoparticles to polymer electrolytes can improve the coloring/bleaching dynamics of the ECW.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synergistic TiO2/VO2 Window Coating with Thermochromism, Enhanced Luminous Transmittance, and Photocatalytic Activity

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors demonstrate an important synergy between photocatalysis, thermochromism, and high luminous transmittance which exploits spectral-selective material properties for solar illumination.
Journal ArticleDOI

Thin sputter deposited gold films on In2O3:Sn, SnO2:In, TiO2 and glass: Optical, electrical and structural effects

TL;DR: In this article, the role of the substrate on thin gold film growth was studied and optical, electrical and structural properties were recorded for films deposited onto unheated substrates and the results highlight the complexity of substrates' influence on thin film formation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Infrared optical properties of silicon monoxide films

TL;DR: The dielectric function epsilon identical with ePSilon(1) + iepsilon(2) of evaporated SiO films is reported for the wavelength region from 8 to 33 microm.
