Phylogeny of the clusioid clade (Malpighiales): Evidence from the plastid and mitochondrial genomes

TL;DR: This phylogeny will form the foundation for the future work investigating the biogeography of tropical angiosperms that exhibit Gondwanan distributions and is the first well-resolved, taxon-rich phylogeny of the clusioid clade.
Journal ArticleDOI

Global variation in the beta diversity of lake macrophytes is driven by environmental heterogeneity rather than latitude

TL;DR: Gecheva et al. as mentioned in this paper proposed a method to identify the root cause of gender discrimination in the media and found that women are more likely to be discriminated against than men.
Journal ArticleDOI

Hidrófitas fanerogâmicas de ecossistemas aquáticos temporários da planície costeira do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, Brasil

TL;DR: A floristic inventory of phanerogamic hydrophytes from the temporary swampy environments of coastal plains of northern Rio de Janeiro State was made and the environment analyzed could be floristically characterized by the Cyperaceae.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dispersal largely explains the Gondwanan distribution of the ancient tropical clusioid plant clade

TL;DR: The results support growing evidence that suggests many traditionally recognized angiosperm clades (families and genera) are too young for their distributions to have been influenced strictly by Gondwanan fragmentation, and it appears that corridors of dispersal may be the best explanation for numerous angios perm clades with Gondwana distributions.
