Journal ArticleDOI
Quantum interferometric lithography: exploiting entanglement to beat the diffraction limit
TL;DR: It is shown how to write arbitrary 2D patterns by using the nonclassical photon-number states method, and a factor of N = 2 can be achieved easily with entangled photon pairs generated from optical parametric down-conversion.
Journal ArticleDOI
Optimal quantum circuits for general two-qubit gates
Farrokh Vatan,Colin P. Williams +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, an optimal two-qubit gate was constructed with at most 3 controlled-NOT (CNOT) gates and 15 elementary one qubit gates, assuming that the desired two qubit gate corresponds to a purely real unitary transformation.
Book
Explorations in Quantum Computing
TL;DR: This book draws upon the very latest research and uses executable software simulations to help explain the material and allow the reader to experiment with the ideas behind quantum computers.
Journal ArticleDOI
Quantum clock synchronization based on shared prior entanglement
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that two spatially separated parties (Alice and Bob) can utilize shared prior quantum entanglement, and classical communications, to establish a synchronized pair of atomic clocks.

Quantum Wavelet Transforms: Fast Algorithms and Complete Circuits
Amir Fijany,Colin P. Williams +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the quantum wavelet transform operators are factorized into direct sums, direct products and dot products of unitary matrices, and the quantum Haar and quantum Daubechies $D^{(4)$ transforms.
