TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present some suggestions and tips about how to organize qualitative information and write a scientific paper rigorously, in order to provide a framework that can serve as reference for other researchers to publish their own work.

TL;DR: In this paper, a study of 42 progenitores victimas de violencia filio-parental (VFP;18 padres and 24 madres) seleccionados by muestreo intencional teorico of two contextos: un centro de reforma de menores and un centre privado especializado en terapia de violence intrafamiliar.
Abstract: Objetivo. Conclusion.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors analyzed the relationship between communication in the family and family functioning and self-esteem (dimensions familiar and academic) with the consumption of alcohol in school teenagers and family and friend's consumption.
Abstract: The aim of the present study was to analyze the relationships between communication in the family and family functioning and self-esteem (dimensions familiar and academic) with the consumption of alcohol in school teenagers and family and friend's consumption. Relationships among variables were also analyzed by gender. Participants in the study were 1,245 Mexican adolescents (50, 7% male; mean age 14, 8; and 49, 3% female; mean age 14.2) drawn from secondary schools. It was used a stratified probability sample method considering students’ proportion in school degree, groups and shift. Structural equation model were calculated to analyze the data. Results obtained showed the significant role that plays the communication with parents and the family functioning across the protective self-steem in the consumption of alcohol in adolescents. Also a relation among family and friend’s alcohol consumption and adolescent’s consumption was observed. Finally differences were obtained in relation to the gender.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the solutions proposed by teens, teachers and parents of 6 Andalusian secondary schools to prevent bullying at school, following the steps proposed by the Grounded Theory, 16 focus groups and 24 in-depth interviews with a total sample of 88 adolescents, 22 teachers and 24 parents have been conducted.
Abstract: The first large-scale program against bullying was implemented in the early eighties by Olweus and since then, many other anti-bullying strategies have been developed, although not in all cases have been carried out rigorous evaluations of their effectiveness. Multidisciplinary (or whole-school) programs affecting the entire educational community offer better results both in reducing bullying and victimization. However, these programs are built for the community, not by the community. The aim of this study is to know the solutions proposed by teens, teachers and parents of 6 Andalusian secondary schools to prevent bullying at school. Following the steps proposed by the Grounded Theory, 16 focus groups and 24 in-depth interviews with a total sample of 88 adolescents, 22 teachers and 24 parents have been conducted. The three groups distribute their proposed solutions in six areas: bullies, victims, teachers, parents, school and other, approaching the multidisciplinary program structure and prioritizing the interactive strategies based on communication and emotional expression.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors describe the roles of witnesses surrounding the victim and the aggressor in episodes of bullying from the discourses of adolescents using six focus groups and 16 in-depth interviews with a total sample of 64 adolescents from 2o, 3o and 4o of ESO.
Abstract: The aim of the study is to describe the roles of witnesses surrounding the victim and the aggressor in episodes of bullying from the discourses of adolescents. Using a qualitative design and following the steps proposed by the Grounded Theory, six focus groups and 16 in-depth-interviews with a total sample of 64 adolescents from 2o, 3o and 4o of ESO have been carried out. We have identified three basic roles of witnesses (assistant, reinforcer, outsider), consistent with previous research and a new role in terms of social legitimization by teenagers (school mediator). The normalization of the consumption of peer violence, the distinctive features of the collaborators on the bully, playful motivation of the animators and the highest proportion of these with respect to previous studies are some of the most important results.
