Interpreting chromosomal DNA restriction patterns produced by pulsed-field gel electrophoresis: criteria for bacterial strain typing.

TL;DR: This research presents a novel, scalable and scalable approach that allows for real-time assessment of the severity of the infection and its impact on patients’ health.
Journal ArticleDOI

Development of PCR assays to detect ampicillin resistance genes in cerebrospinal fluid samples containing Haemophilus influenzae.

TL;DR: PCR primers specific for the blaTEM and blaROB ampicillin resistance genes were developed and correlated with the number of organisms obtained by culture of the CSF samples, leading to a perfect correlation between H. influenzae and Streptococcus pneumoniae obtained from 25 frozen cerebrospinal fluid specimens.
