Royer +31 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the occurence of 'exotic' shapes in light N=Z alpha-like nuclei is investigated and various approaches of superdeformed and hyperdeformed bands associated with quasimolecular resonant structures are presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
Collinear cluster tri-partition of 252Cf (sf) and in the 235U (nth, f ) reaction
Yu. V. Pyatkov,Yu. V. Pyatkov,D. V. Kamanin,W. von Oertzen,A. A. Alexandrov,I. A. Alexandrova,O. V. Falomkina,O. V. Falomkina,N. A. Kondratjev,Yu. N. Kopatch,E. A. Kuznetsova,Yu. E. Lavrova,A. N. Tyukavkin,W. H. Trzaska,V. E. Zhuhcko +14 more
TL;DR: In this paper, experimental results in favour of the existence of a new type of cluster decay called "collinear cluster tri-partition", CCT, are presented based on two different experiments with binary co- incidences and measurements of the masses and energies of the two fragments, as well as using in one of the experiments observables sensitive to the nuclear charge of the fission fragments.
Journal ArticleDOI
The collinear cluster tri-partition (CCT) of 252 Cf (sf): New aspects from neutron gated data
Yu. V. Pyatkov,Yu. V. Pyatkov,D. V. Kamanin,W. von Oertzen,A. A. Alexandrov,I. A. Alexandrova,O. V. Falomkina,O. V. Falomkina,Jacobs Nm,N. A. Kondratjev,E. A. Kuznetsova,Yu. E. Lavrova,V. Malaza,Yu. V. Ryabov,O. V. Strekalovsky,A. N. Tyukavkin,V. E. Zhuchko +16 more
TL;DR: In this article, the results of two different experiments for the study of fission of 252Cf (sf) events in coincidence with neutrons are reported, where two time-of-flight-energy (TOF-E detectors systems have been used.
Journal ArticleDOI
Fission and ternary cluster decay of hyper-deformed 56Ni
W. von Oertzen,B. Gebauer,G. Efimov,V. I. Zherebchevsky,Tz. Kokalova,S. Thummerer,Ch. Schulz,H. G. Bohlen,D. V. Kamanin,C. Beck,D. Curien,P. Papka,M. Rousseau,G. Royer,G. de Angelis +14 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a unique experimental set-up consisting of two large-area position-sensitive (x, y) gas detector telescopes has been used allowing the complete determination of the observed fragments and their momentum vectors.
Journal ArticleDOI
True Ternary Fission, Collinear Cluster Tri (CCT) Partition of 252 Cf
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used the term "true ternary fission" for a fission process with three masses of comparable size, A > 35, and measured the masses and energies of the registered two fragments.
