Abstract: This is an article about the theoretical model for assessing quality in health services proposed by Parasuraman, Zheitaml and Berry, in order to measure the degree of satisfaction of users. This model is based on the analysis of expectations and perceptions of users of health services, by means of five dimensions: tangibility, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy. From the difference between what is expected by the user and the service offered, gaps or shortcomings are derived that may be the main obstacle for users to perceive the provision of such services with quality. It was observed that the use of the psychometric scale called Service Quality (SERVQUAL) in some studies about satisfaction, obtained very favorable results in the institutions in which it was employed. The analysis revealed the need to improve the existing models of evaluation, as well as the importance of measuring user satisfaction in health institutions.

Abstract: The work engages a central place in human life and depending on how it is organized and executed, demand action in order to meet the needs of workers, which can generate satisfaction or dissatisfaction. A study to explore and describe a quality approach whose finality is to know the elements of satisfaction and dissatisfaction according to nurses at public and also teaching hospitals in Sao Paulo. Ten nurses participated. The data were collected between April and July 2007 through semi-structured interviews presented in a narrative way. The methodology adopted was Bardin's Analysis of Content to verify the descriptions. From the study came out the meaningful units: satisfaction at work, dissatisfaction at work and duality between both. The results caused the identification of the elements responsible for the satisfaction and dissatisfaction at work thus allowing the implementation of strategies on the organizational dynamics and also contributing to the formation of quality items in the management of human resources. Abstract: The objectives of this descriptive exploratory study were to identify, characterize and analyze educational activities developed with health professionals based on integrality, teamwork and permanent education. Data collection was carried out in three hospitals of the city of Sao Paulo, by means of key-informant interviews, representing all the professional categories. Interviews were recorded and transcribed, information was systematized into operational categories and storage in data bank. The results showed that educational activities aiming actions to recover health with the assistance of professionals of specific areas, revealed a distance from the integrality conception and team work. It was concluded that actions aiming education of health professionals emphasizes the individual clinical model, with fragmented actions of professional categories. So, we suggest reconsidering the integrated strategies of knowledge to promote integrality of hospital attention.

Abstract: A construcao de indicadores de qualidade visando a avaliacao de servicos de enfermagem nas instituicoes hospitalares, vem caracterizando-se como uma estrategia que possibilita a busca da eficiencia e da eficacia das estruturas organizacionais, dos processos de trabalho e dos resultados da assistencia prestada. Para explicitar os pressupostos teoricos envolvidos na construcao de indicadores que possibilitem avaliar os recursos humanos na enfermagem foi realizada uma revisao bibliografica, a qual subsidiou a construcao de estrategias para a avaliacao de recursos humanos em saude. Acredita-se que a elaboracao e a aplicabilidade de indicadores de qualidade guardam estreita relacao com a motivacao e satisfacao dos profissionais, repercutindo na assistencia prestada aos usuarios dos servicos de saude.

Abstract: OBJETIVO : Realizar metassintese da literatura sobre os principais conceitos e praticas relacionados a educacao permanente em saude. METODOS : Foi realizada busca bibliografica de artigos originais nas bases de dados PubMed, Web of Science, Lilacs, IBECS e SciELO, utilizando os seguintes descritores: “ public health professional education ”, “ permanent education”, “continuing education ”, “ permanent education health ”. De um total de 590 artigos identificados, apos os criterios de inclusao e exclusao, foram selecionados 48 para analise, os quais foram submetidos a analise individual, analise comparativa, analise com criterios de agrupamentos de elementos-chave e submetidos a metassintese. RESULTADOS : Os 48 artigos originais foram classificados como elementos-chave em quatro unidades tematicas: 1) Concepcoes; 2) Estrategias e dificuldades; 3) Politicas publicas; e 4) Instituicoes formadoras. Foram encontradas tres concepcoes principais de educacao permanente em saude: problematizadora e focada no trabalho em equipe, diretamente relacionada a educacao continuada e educacao que se da ao longo da vida. As principais estrategias para efetivacao da educacao permanente foram a problematizacao, manutencao de espacos para a educacao permanente e polos de educacao permanente. O maior fator limitante foi relacionado a gerencia direta ou indireta. Foram indicadas a necessidade de implementacao e manutencao de politicas publicas, alem de disponibilidade de recursos financeiros e de recursos humanos. As instituicoes formadoras teriam necessidade de articular ensino e servico para a formacao de egressos criticos-reflexivos. CONCLUSOES : A articulacao educacao e saude encontra-se pautada tanto nas acoes dos servicos de saude, quanto de gestao e de instituicoes formadoras. Assim, torna-se um desafio implementar processos de ensino-aprendizagem que sejam respaldados por acoes critico-reflexivas. E necessario realizar propostas de educacao permanente em saude com a participacao de profissionais dos servicos, professores e profissionais das instituicoes de ensino.

Abstract: O proposito desta pesquisa e abordar a analise e a indexacao de paisagens da vida rural tendo por referencia o Arquivo Fotografico Ilustrativo dos Trabalhos Geograficos de Campo, do Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatistica, cujas fotografias foram produzidas pelos geografos agrarios do entao Conselho Nacional de Geografia, entre os anos de 1940 e 1960. Trata-se de uma pesquisa exploratoria que aborda a informacao geografica no âmbito da Ciencia da Informacao voltada para a organizacao e a representacao do conhecimento registrado no processo de transferencia da informacao. Partindo de estudos sobre a paisagem levantados na literatura de Geografia e conjugado com a bibliografia das areas de Arquivologia, Biblioteconomia, Ciencia da Informacao e Historia, buscou-se identificar conceitos e categorias que subsidiaram a proposta de uma matriz para analise e indexacao de fotografias de paisagens. Os conjuntos fotograficos selecionados do acervo para o experimento referem-se as regioes brasileiras Nordeste e Sul, de acordo com a primeira divisao oficial proposta pelo Conselho Nacional de Geografia em 1941. Abstract: This study aimed to analyze and describe the characteristics of research methods used in the production of dissertations and theses on Nursing Administration. This is a documentary study of quantitative approach, covering 596 abstracts of research works on Nursing Administration, analyzed according to the variables of research method, temporal distribution, titles and themes. Of all analyzed abstracts, 49.8% were quantitative studies and 43.1% were qualitative. Descriptive studies amounted to 74.8%, exploratory to 21.5% and cross-sectional accounted for 86.7%. As for the data collection procedure, 46.8% were case studies and 25.7% were surveys. The positivist thought guided 49.0% of studies and phenomenology appeared in 19.3%. Only 38.3% of the studies deepened the analysis with the philosophical and theoretical framework. We concluded that the Nursing Administration knowledge was predominantly formed by quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional and case studies, enlightened by the positivist thought and of little depth in the philosophical and theoretical framework of analysis.

Abstract: Trata-se de uma pesquisa que tem por objetivo analisar a producao bibliografica sobre a sistematizacao da assistencia de enfermagem a fim de discutir conceitos associados ao tema. Foram analisados livros e artigos nacionais publicados na base de dados da Biblioteca Virtual em Saude, Medline, Lilacs e Scielo, no periodo de janeiro de 2000 a janeiro de 2008. Formam analisados 11 artigos, tendo sido identificadas tres correntes de pensamento distintas para definicao de termos associados a sistematizacao da assistencia de enfermagem. Tal fato aponta para a dificuldade de articulacao, teorico-pratica, evidenciada pelos conflitos existentes na propria literatura.
