Journal ArticleDOI

Precise Molecular Sieving Architectures with Janus Pathways for Both Polar and Nonpolar Molecules

TL;DR: This kind of novel CD/TMC molecular sieving membrane with intrinsic microporosity containing tunable pore size and sharp pore-size distribution can effectively discriminate molecules with different 3D sizes.
Journal ArticleDOI

ZIF-90/P84 mixed matrix membranes for pervaporation dehydration of isopropanol

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of ZIF-90 loading as well as feed temperature on pervaporation performance of the mixed matrix membranes (MMMs) were systematically investigated, and the best MMM showed the separation performance with a flux of 109gm−m−2h−1 and a separation factor of 5668 at 60°C.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cross-linked mixed matrix membranes (MMMs) consisting of amine-functionalized multi-walled carbon nanotubes and P84 polyimide for organic solvent nanofiltration (OSN) with enhanced flux

TL;DR: In this article, high-flux mixed matrix membranes (MMMs) for organic solvent nanofiltration (OSN) were designed using amine-functionalized multi-walled carbon nanotubes (NH2-MWCNTs) and P84 polyimide with the aid of 1,6-hexanediamine (HDA) as a crosslinker and thermal annealing to tighten the pore size.
Journal ArticleDOI

From ultrafiltration to nanofiltration: Hydrazine cross-linked polyacrylonitrile hollow fiber membranes for organic solvent nanofiltration

TL;DR: In this paper, an ultrafiltration-level polyacrylonitrile (PAN) hollow fiber membranes were molecularly engineered via chemical cross-linking to obtain membranes suitable for use in organic solvent nanofiltration (OSN).
Journal ArticleDOI

Polyelectrolyte functionalized lamellar graphene oxide membranes on polypropylene support for organic solvent nanofiltration

TL;DR: In this paper, a straightforward and eco-friendly approach to molecularly design graphene oxide (GO) nanosheets on robust hydrophobic polypropylene (PP) supports with excellent adhesion and superior separation performance for organic solvent nanofiltration (OSN) of dye/ethanol mixtures.
