Experimental Research on Variable Hydraulic Resistors of Servo-hydraulic Valves

TL;DR: In this paper, a study on hydraulic resistors, following the hydrodynamic forces that appear in an adjustable valve like a load for the valve actuator, was conducted, where three types of holes (circular, rectangular, triangular) for the sleeve were assembled with each of the three spools chamfered at different angles resulting different geometry for the active edge.
Journal ArticleDOI

Study regarding the influence of the crimping angle on the performances of the heat exchangers

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors determine the geometry of a plate for heat exchanger with high heat flow and low values for pressure losses in Solid Work software and analyze the influence of the crimping angle β on the fluid distribution and heat transfer.
Journal ArticleDOI

Contributions to the Study of Dynamic Absorbers, a Case Study

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of a dynamic absorber attached to a mechanical system formed of three reduced masses which are acted on by one, two or three order x harmonics of a disruptive force is investigated.

Optimal flow control for increased electricity production in small hydropower plants

TL;DR: In this paper, a mathematical model for hydropower constructions of this type (up to 5 MW) is presented, which is utilized for numerical simulations, showing the main advantage mentioned above.
