Journal ArticleDOI

Glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide receptor knockout mice have altered bone turnover.

TL;DR: GIP has an anabolic effect on bone mass and bone quality and suggests that GIP may be a hormonal link between nutrient ingestion and utilization, as well as evaluating serum markers of bone turnover, bone density, bone morphology, and changes in biomechanical bone strength.
Journal ArticleDOI

Glucose-dependent insulinotropic peptide-overexpressing transgenic mice have increased bone mass

TL;DR: The data support the conclusion that GIP inhibits bone resorption and stimulates bone formation and that excess signaling through the GIP receptor results in gain of bone mass.
Journal ArticleDOI

Seizure control, stress, and access to care during the COVID-19 pandemic in New York City: The patient perspective.

TL;DR: This work aimed to determine patient‐perceived seizure control during the surge, specific variables associated with worsened seizures, the prevalence of specific barriers to care, and patient-perceived efficacy of epilepsy care delivered via telephone and live video visits during the pandemic.
