RNA-binding protein Lin28 in cancer and immunity
Shuai Jiang,David Baltimore +1 more
TL;DR: The present knowledge of the system is discussed and remaining mysteries related to the functions of this small RNA-binding protein are highlighted, which may lead to Lin28 becoming a diagnostic marker for cancer or immune-related diseases and a possible therapeutic target.
Journal ArticleDOI
HIV vaccines--where are we going?
TL;DR: Current research efforts toward developing anti-HIV vaccines are reviewed and it is stressed that important steps have been taken and that as such there is room for optimism.
Journal ArticleDOI
Phosphorylation of ribosomal protein S6 on serine after microinjection of the Abelson murine leukemia virus tyrosine-specific protein kinase into Xenopus oocytes.
TL;DR: Results indicate that the Ab-MuLV kinase interacts with a cellular pathway to enhance S6 phosphorylation by directly or indirectly activating an S 6 protein kinase and/or inactivating an S6 protein phosphatase.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Cellular Immunotherapy Revolution: Arming the Immune System for Precision Therapy
TL;DR: This work focuses on T cell-based immunotherapy, highlighting discoveries of genetic engineering and therapeutic use, and discusses the challenges of toxicities as well as other limitations of cellular immunotherapy.
Journal ArticleDOI
T-cell immunotherapy: looking forward.

Patterson,Robert Jambou,Eugene Rosenthal,Linda Gargiulo,Maureen Montgomery,Donald B. Kohn +25 more
TL;DR: The T Cell Immunotherapy: Optimizing T-cell trial design workshop as discussed by the authors was a workshop sponsored by the National Institutes of Health's Office of Biotechnology Activities (OBA), which brought together researchers to discuss the scientific advances and share new data on key trial design issues.
