Subvalent Group 4B metal alkyls and amides. Part 9. Germanium and tin alkene analogues, the dimetallenes M2R4[M = Ge or Sn, R = CH(SiMe3)2]: X-ray structures, molecular orbital calculations for M2H4, and trends in the series M2R′4[M = C, Si, Ge, or Sn; R′= R, Ph, C6H2Me3-2,4,6, or C6H3Et2-2,6]
David E. Goldberg,Peter B. Hitchcock,Michael F. Lappert,K. Mark Thomas,Andrew J. Thorne,Torgny Fjeldberg,Arne Haaland,Birgitte E. R. Schilling +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, a trans-folded C2h M2C4 framework with a fold angle θ of 32° for Ge and 41° for Sn, but no twist of the MC2 planes about the M-M axis is presented.

Journal ArticleDOI
Aralkylpolyamine complexes-III: Some thiocyanate and selenocyanate complexes of copper(II), nickel(II) and cobalt(II) with n-benzylethylenediamine and N,N′-dibenzylethylenediamine
K.C. Patel,David E. Goldberg +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the structure of the dibenzylethylenediamine (DLS) and benzylethymenediamines (BH) complexes is deduced from reflectance spectra at room temperature and at liquid nitrogen temperature, visible spectra in solution, and conductivity measurements in DMF.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of β-diketone structure on the synergistic extraction of uranyl ion by tributylphosphate
TL;DR: In this article, a study was made of the synergistic effect of tributylphosphate on the solvent extraction of uranium by a series of β-diketones consisting of furoyltrifluoroacetone, thenoyltriflurooro-acetone and thenoy ltriflo-methyl(methyl)acetone.
Journal ArticleDOI
Further studies of the rate affected synergic solvent extraction of Fe(III)-TTA—I: The effect of tri-n-octylphosphine oxide on the solvent extraction of iron(III) with 2-thenoyltrifluoroacetone
TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that an increase in temperature of 10°C results in a further increase in the rate and percent of iron(III) extraction by a factor of 1·5.
