Versatile Manufacturing of Split-Block Microwave Devices Using Rapid Prototyping and Electroplating

TL;DR: In this article, a novel method of rapid prototyping waveguide and antenna using plating on plastic technique is presented. The part is created by high-precision three-dimensional printing and plated with copper using both electroless plating and electroplating.
Journal ArticleDOI

UWB meshed solar monopole antenna

TL;DR: In this paper, a novel combination of a parametrically optimized UWB meshed circular disc monopole antenna with a polycrystalline silicon (poly-Si) solar cell is presented and discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI

An apparatus to control and monitor the para-D2 concentration in a solid deuterium, superthermal source of ultra-cold neutrons

TL;DR: In this article, an experimental technique to convert para-to ortho-deuterium molecules by flowing D 2 gas through a cryogenic cell filled with paramagnetic hydrous ferric oxide granules was implemented, which reduced the para-D 2 concentration from 33.3% to 1.5%.
Journal ArticleDOI

Symphotic Multiplexing Medium at Microwave Frequencies

TL;DR: In this paper, a volumetric metamaterial designed using the symphotic method is presented, which can realize highly efficient multiplexing structures in the strong scattering limit.
