Best strategies to implement clinical pathways in an emergency department setting: study protocol for a cluster randomized controlled trial
Mona Jabbour,Mona Jabbour,Janet Curran,Shannon D. Scott,Astrid Guttman,Thomas Rotter,Francine M. Ducharme,M. Diane Lougheed,M Louise McNaughton-Filion,M Louise McNaughton-Filion,Amanda S Newton,Mark Shafir,Mark Shafir,Alison Paprica,Terry P. Klassen,Monica Taljaard,Monica Taljaard,Jeremy M. Grimshaw,Jeremy M. Grimshaw,David W. Johnson,David W. Johnson +20 more
TL;DR: A theory-based and knowledge user-informed intervention strategy to implement two pediatric clinical pathways: asthma and gastroenteritis is developed and an overall process evaluation to assess the implementation strategy and an economic analysis to evaluate implementation costs and benefits are conducted.
Journal ArticleDOI
The association between body mass index and mortality in incident dialysis patients.
Sunil V. Badve,Sanjoy K. Paul,Kerenaftali Klein,Philip A. Clayton,Carmel M. Hawley,Fiona G. Brown,Neil Boudville,Kevan R. Polkinghorne,Stephen P. McDonald,David W. Johnson +9 more
TL;DR: The BMI trajectory was significantly lower in HD patients who died than those who survived, although this pattern was not observed in PD patients, and time-varying measures of BMI were significantly associated with mortality risk in both HD and PD patients.
Journal ArticleDOI
Phenotypic and functional analysis of T cells cloned directly from the blood and cerebrospinal fluid of patients with multiple sclerosis.
TL;DR: The results suggest that changes in the T8 population from the blood of patients with MS involve cytotoxic as well as suppressor cells.
Journal ArticleDOI
Demonstration of Thin Film Pair Distribution Function Analysis (tfPDF) for the Study of Local Structure in Amorphous and Crystalline Thin Films
Kirsten M. Ø. Jensen,Anders Bank Blichfeld,Sage R. Bauers,Suzannah R. Wood,Eric Dooryhee,David W. Johnson,Bo B. Iversen,Simon J. L. Billinge,Simon J. L. Billinge +8 more
TL;DR: It is shown how normal-incidence X-ray total scattering can be used to obtain high-quality pair distribution functions from amorphous and crystalline thin films on much thicker substrates, allowing a range of studies of the local structure in film materials.
