Genome-wide association study identifies common and low-frequency variants at the AMH gene locus that strongly predict serum AMH levels in males
TL;DR: This first genome-wide association study of serum AMH levels across a set of ∼9 m ‘1000 Genomes Reference Panel’ imputed genetic variants found no evidence in additional datasets to support a biological role for AMH in complex traits and diseases in men.
The Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children
Abigail Fraser,William McNally,Naveed Sattar,Emma L Anderson,Hany Lashen,Richard Fleming,Debbie A Lawlor,Scott M. Nelson +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors examined and compared associations of maternal and paternal prenatal exposures with anti-Mullerian hormone (AMH) levels in adolescent female offspring using data from the Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children.
Journal ArticleDOI

Relationship between mediation analysis and the structured life course approach.
Laura D Howe,Andrew D A C Smith,Corrie Macdonald-Wallis,Emma L Anderson,Bruna Galobardes,Debbie A Lawlor,Yoav Ben-Shlomo,Rebecca Hardy,Rachel Cooper,Kate Tilling,Abigail Fraser +10 more
TL;DR: This paper shows how mediation analysis (based on counterfactual theory and implemented using conventional regression approaches) links with a structured approach to selecting life course hypotheses and compares these methods using an illustrative real-data example.
Journal ArticleDOI
Gestational diabetes modifies the association between PlGF in early pregnancy and preeclampsia in women with obesity
Matias C. Vieira,Shahina Begum,Paul T. Seed,Dania Badran,Annette Briley,Carolyn Gill,Keith M. Godfrey,Debbie A Lawlor,Scott M. Nelson,Nashita Patel,Naveed Sattar,Sara L. White,Lucilla Poston,Dharmintra Pasupathy +13 more
TL;DR: The relationship between PlGF and preeClampsia differed in women with obesity according to gestational diabetes status, which may suggest different mechanistic pathways to preeclampsia.
