TL;DR: In this article, a high-pressure injection valve for directly injecting fuel into a combustion chamber of a compressed-mixture, spark-ignition internal combustion engine is described, and a slit-type flow outlet is formed between the slit-forming element and a front face of the valve seat body.
Abstract: The invention relates to a fuel-injection valve, in particular a high-pressure injection valve for directly injecting fuel into a combustion chamber of a compressed-mixture, spark-ignition internal combustion engine. Said valve is characterised in that an outlet opening (23) is provided downstream of the valve seat (20), the downstream end of said opening having a slit-forming element (30) that to a great extent closes the outlet opening (23). A slit-type flow outlet (35), through which a fuel spray can be discharged in a fan-type jet, is formed between the slit-forming element (30) and a front face (34) of the valve seat body (16).

TL;DR: In this paper, a method for manufacturing an orifice plate that is built up in multiple layers and includes a complete axial through passage for a fluid is described, which is suitable for use on injection valves in fuel injection systems, in paint nozzles, inhalers, or inkjet printers.
Abstract: A method for manufacturing an orifice plate that is built up in multiple layers and includes a complete axial through passage for a fluid. The orifice plate includes inlet openings, outlet openings, and at least one conduit lying between them. The layers or functional planes of the orifice plate are built up on one another by electroplating metal deposition (multilayer electroplating). Orifice plates manufactured in this manner are particularly suitable for use on injection valves in fuel injection systems, in paint nozzles, inhalers, or inkjet printers, or in freeze-drying processes, for spraying or injecting fluids such as beverages.

TL;DR: In this paper, a method for manufacturing outlets on a valve, especially a fuel injection valve, is described. But this method requires the valve seat to cooperate with the valve closing member to open the valve.
Abstract: This invention relates interalia to a method for manufacturing outlets (32) on a valve, especially a fuel injection valve. The injection valve has a fuel inlet (2), an excitable actuating device (1, 2, 19) through which a valve closing member (28) can be moved, a valve seat (27) which is fixed to a valve seat element (26), whereby the valve seat cooperates with the valve closing member (28) to open and at least one outlet (32) which is located downstream from the valve seat (27) and is used as a fuel outlet. At least one outlet (32) is manufactured in such a way that a hole is made in the valve seat element in a first step of the inventive method (26) and in a second step an outlet area is created differing in shape and/or size and/or contours from the hole and originating from the injection-site end of said hole.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed an axial passage for a fluid, particularly for a fuel, which is made up in the downstream direction by a filter, a ring chamber and an uninterrupted ring gap following one another.
Abstract: The nozzle plate according to the present invention includes an axial passage for a fluid, particularly for a fuel, which is made up in the downstream direction by a filter, a ring chamber and an uninterrupted ring gap following one another. Using this arrangement, a cohesive tulip-shaped jet lamella can be produced which thins out in the downstream direction and then disintegrates into tiny droplets. As a consequence, the exhaust emission of an internal combustion engine can be further reduced and likewise a reduction of the fuel consumption can be achieved. The nozzle plate is suited particularly for injection valves in fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines with externally supplied ignition which compress the mixture.

TL;DR: An atomizer disk as mentioned in this paper is composed of at least one metallic material, is configured with at least inlet opening in an upper cover layer and at least outlet opening in a lower base layer, and has at least two swirl channels that terminate into a swirl chamber, the swirl chamber being provided in a middle swirl generation layer.
Abstract: An atomizer disk is composed of at least one metallic material, is configured with at least one inlet opening in an upper cover layer and at least one outlet opening in a lower base layer, and has at least two swirl channels that terminate into a swirl chamber, the swirl chamber being provided in a middle swirl generation layer. Through the inlet opening and the swirl channels, two flows of different natures (biflux) enter the swirl chamber. All the layers of the atomizer disk are built up directly onto one another by electroplating metal deposition (multilayer electroplating). The atomizer disk is suitable for use in a fuel injection valve, in particular a high-pressure injection valve for direct injection of fuel into a combustion chamber of a mixture-compressing, spark-ignited internal combustion engine.

TL;DR: In this article, a fuel injection valve is provided that includes a valve seat member (3) having a conical valve seat (8), and a valve hole (7 ) formed through a central part of the valve seat, a valve body (18) working in cooperation with the valve, and an injector plate (10) joined to the valve member and having a plurality of fuel injection holes (11 ) radially outwardly displaced from the valve hole.
Abstract: A fuel injection valve is provided that includes a valve seat member ( 3 ) having a conical valve seat ( 8 ) and a valve hole ( 7 ) formed through a central part of the valve seat ( 8 ), a valve body ( 18 ) working in cooperation with the valve seat ( 8 ), and an injector plate ( 10 ) joined to the valve seat member ( 3 ) and having a plurality of fuel injection holes ( 11 ) radially outwardly displaced from the valve hole ( 7 ), a diffusion chamber ( 39 ) providing communication between the valve hole ( 7 ) and the fuel injection holes ( 11 ) being provided between the valve seat member ( 3 ) and the injector plate ( 10 ), wherein the diffusion chamber ( 39 ) formed between the valve seat member ( 3 ) and the injector plate ( 10 ) is in an annular shape, has a diameter that is larger than that of the valve hole ( 7 ), and has inner ends of the fuel injection holes ( 11 ) opening therein, and a plurality of fuel passages ( 42 a , 42 b ) are disposed within the valve hole ( 7 ), the plurality of fuel passages ( 42 a , 42 b ) reversing within the valve hole ( 7 ) fuel that has passed through the valve seat ( 8 ) and guiding the fuel to the diffusion chamber ( 39 ). This enables atomization of injected fuel to be promoted and penetrability to be improved for the fuel injection valve.

TL;DR: In this paper, a plurality of electrodeposition operations and/or depositions of material are used to separate sacrificial materials from structural materials, including switches, inductors, antennae, transmission lines, filters, and other active or passive components.
Abstract: RF and microwave radiation directing or controlling components are provided that may be monolithic, that may be formed from a plurality of electrodeposition operations and/or from a plurality of deposited layers of material, that may include switches, inductors, antennae, transmission lines, filters, and/or other active or passive components. Components may include non-radiation-entry and non-radiation-exit channels that are useful in separating sacrificial materials from structural materials. Preferred formation processes use electrochemical fabrication techniques (e.g. including selective depositions, bulk depositions, etching operations and planarization operations) and post-deposition processes (e.g. selective etching operations and/or back filling operations).
