TL;DR: Insect faunal succession on decaying rabbit carcasses was carried out at Punjabi University, Punjab, India, from March 1997 to December 1999 as discussed by the authors, where a total of 38 insect species belonging to four orders and 13 families were recorded.
Abstract: Insect faunal succession on decaying rabbit carcasses was carried out at Punjabi University, Punjab, India, from March 1997 to December 1999. Four stages of decomposition were recognized, i.e. fresh, bloated, decay and dry. A total of 38 insect species belonging to four orders and 13 families were recorded. Diptera, coleoptera and hymenoptera dominated the carrion fauna. Calliphorids were the first to arrive in all the seasons of the year. Five species of Calliphoridae, four of Sarcophagidae, ten of Muscidae and one from Anthomyiidae and Otitidae were observed in rabbit carcasses. Representatives of six coleopteran families i.e. Stahpylinidae, Histerdae, Cleridae, Dermestidae, Tenebrionidae and Silphidae were recorded. Eight species belonging to family Formicidae (hymenoptera) were also collected during the present studies only one species of Lepidoptera was observed on carrion.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors analyzed the Indian consumer market into four clusters employing a two-step cluster analysis, and characterised these four clusters for the marketers so as to supplement the makers with valuable inputs to target the customers.
Abstract: The consumers, today, are becoming increasingly conscious of environmental issues. This has a positive impact on their attitude towards the eco-friendly companies and products. However, the level of environmental consciousness in emerging economies like India is unknown. This study gives an insight into the environment consciousness among the Indian consumers, and profiles the Indian consumer market into four clusters employing a two-step cluster analysis. It characterizes these four clusters for the marketers so as to supplement the makers with valuable inputs so as to target the customers.

TL;DR: The Principles of Insect Morphology by R. E. Snodgrass as discussed by the authors is one of the most important works in the field of insect morphology, and it has been widely used in the literature.
Abstract: THE author of this book ranks as the foremost American worker on insect morphology. His contributions on the subject are notable for their clarity and originality of thought, and the appearance of a volume, embodying his ideas in comprehensive form, is sure of a hearty welcome. In its preparation, Mr. Snodgrass has incorporated the results of much first-hand study with those of many recent investigators in the same field. He has produced an outstanding book wherein knowledge of facts is combined with that of function and, at the same time, theoretical conceptions of the origins and relationships of organs and parts are not overlooked. TL;DR: In this paper, the authors find that user design backfires because consumer demand for a given luxury fashion brand collection is reduced if the collection is labeled as user (vs. company) designed.
Abstract: textAn emerging literature stream posits that drawing on users rather than internal designers in new product creation may benefit firms because the resulting products effectively satisfy consumer needs. Four studies conducted in the context of the luxury fashion industry uncover an important conceptual boundary condition of this positive userdesign effect. Contrary to extant research, the results show that being "close" to users does not help but rather harms luxury fashion brands. Specifically, the authors find that user design backfires because consumer demand for a given luxury fashion brand collection is reduced if the collection is labeled as user (vs. company) designed. The results further reveal the underlying rationale for this reversal: user-designed luxury products are perceived to be lower in quality and fail to signal high status, which results in a loss of agentic feelings for the consumer. The authors explore several strategies luxury brands can pursue to overcome this negative user-design effect. Finally, they find that negative outcomes of user design are attenuated for luxury fashion products that are not used for status signaling'that is, product categories of a luxury brand that are characterized by lower status relevance for the consumer.

TL;DR: This review focuses on recent findings regarding beneficial effects of kombucha and discusses its chemical compounds, as well as the metabolites resulted by the fermentation process.
Abstract: Kombucha is a beverage made by fermenting sugared tea using a symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeasts. Kombucha consumption has been associated with some health effects such as: the reduction of cholesterol levels and blood pressure, reduction of cancer propagation, the improvement of liver, the immune system, and gastrointestinal functions. The beneficial effects of kombucha are attributed to the presence of bioactive compounds that act synergistically. Bacteria contained in kombucha beverage belongs to the genus Acetobacter, Gluconobacter, and the yeasts of the genus Saccharomyces along with glucuronic acid, contribute to health protection. This review focuses on recent findings regarding beneficial effects of kombucha and discusses its chemical compounds, as well as the metabolites resulted by the fermentation process. Besides, some contraindications of kombucha consumption are also reviewed.
