Journal ArticleDOI

The nerve growth factor receptor CD271 is crucial to maintain tumorigenicity and stem-like properties of melanoma cells.

TL;DR: A genome-wide expression profiling and gene-set enrichment analysis revealed novel connections of CD271 with melanoma-associated genes like CD133 and points to a neural crest stem cell (NCSC) signature lost upon CD271 knock-down.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of sialyl Lewis X-glycoliposomes on the inhibition of E-selectin-mediated tumour cell adhesion in vitro

TL;DR: S Sterically stabilised liposomes with the ligand at the terminal end of the polyethylene chain were the most effective inhibitors in all three assays and inhibited the adhesion of HT29 colon- and Lewis lung (LL) carcinoma cells by about 60-80%.
Journal ArticleDOI

Anti-cancer effects of bortezomib against chemoresistant neuroblastoma cell lines in vitro and in vivo.

TL;DR: Nanomolar concentrations of bortezomib inhibited the cell cycle and induced apoptosis in chemosensitive as well as in chemoresistant cell lines and inhibited vessel formation in neuroblastoma xenografts.
