TL;DR: Measurement of carotid intima media thickness (CIMT) by B-mode ultrasound is a well-validated procedure for this application, and CIMT demonstrates greater sensitivity for detecting early atherosclerosis and lipid-rich plaques that are vulnerable to rupture.

TL;DR: It is concluded that hydrocortisone in the mentioned dose, administered in the neonatal period for BPD, does not appear to have any long-term effects on memory and/or hippocampal metabolism.
