Journal ArticleDOI

Edge phonons in black phosphorus

TL;DR: Polarized Raman results show the appearance of new modes at the edges of the sample, and their spectra depend on the atomic structure of the edges, and theoretical simulations confirm that the new modes are due to edge phonon states that are forbidden in the bulk, and originated from the lattice termination rearrangements.
Journal ArticleDOI

Compact Ag@Fe3O4 core-shell nanoparticles by means of single-step thermal decomposition reaction.

TL;DR: A temperature pause introduced in a simple single-step thermal decomposition of iron, with the presence of silver seeds formed in the same reaction mixture, gives rise to novel compact heterostructures: brick-like Ag@Fe3O4 core-shell nanoparticles that indicate a near superparamagnetic like behavior with a weak hysteresis at room temperature.
Journal ArticleDOI

Magnetic hyperthermia in brick-like Ag@Fe3O4 core–shell nanoparticles

TL;DR: In this article, specific absorption rate (SAR) measurements were carried out by using the superparamagnetic theory, in which the basic morphology, size and dispersion of sizes played key roles.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of Nanostructure and Dipolar Interactions on Magnetohyperthermia in Iron Oxide Nanoparticles

TL;DR: In this article, the intrinsic magnetic properties of magnetic nanoparticle colloids are determined by the dipole-dipole interactions and the possible existence of clustering on the colloidal suspension.
