TL;DR: In this paper, the authors studied the clinical practices carried out by psychosocial professionals in the Psychosocial Attention Centers of Mental Health (CAPS) in order to enhance the process of Brazilian psychiatric reform, enabling this way a qualification of professionals working in the mental health system from the instigation of what is going on when thinking about the daily work related on these centers.
Abstract: This article proposes to study the clinical practices carried out by 'psy' professionals in the Psychosocial Attention Centers of Mental Health, discussing on how much these practices are taking place in order to enhance the process of Brazilian psychiatric reform, enabling this way a qualification of the professionals working in the mental health system from the instigation of what is going on when thinking about the daily work related on these centers. This study was methodologically based on intervention-research, and explored the possibilities of critical and creative practices operated in the mental health network, denaturalizing some of the hospitalocentric running model legacy of hospitalization and exclusion. Key issues were mapped in situations considered critical to the daily work of that group. Three analytical categories emerged: Management model, Team relationship and Clinical Practice, which are specially focused in this paper. Five aspects of guiding practice, which are operated in CAPS, are analyzed.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors discuss political organizations called collectives and their relations with the cycle of protests known as the Jornadas de Junho (June Journeys) in 2013.
Abstract: This article discusses political organizations called collectives and their relations with the cycle of protests known as the Jornadas de Junho (June Journeys) in 2013. As part of this exploratory research, we interviewed the members of 21 collectives throughout the city of Teresina and systematized 725 pages of information about the collectives documented on the social network Facebook. The results indicate that these collectives were created mainly in the last six years, and members of some of them identified the collectives as a form of political organization after the June Journeys. In addition to this relationship, the collectives criticize political parties and traditional organizations due to their hierarchies and inefficiency. Criticism of the government and parties were also common at the June Journeys. In opposition to this model of political organization, some collectives advocate more autonomous and horizontal practices. To understand the emergence of organizations after the protests, we review the literature of theorists of social movements. This text contributes to studies on social mobilization by analyzing the legacies of the June Journeys, such as incentives to engage in collectives.

TL;DR: The Chagas Express XXI (CE21) as mentioned in this paper is a social technology potentially useful for health and science education and active search of asymptomatic chagas disease chronic cases.
Abstract: Background Chagas Disease (CD) affects 6–7 million people worldwide and is related to poverty-promoting conditions. Chronic asymptomatic cases are mostly invisible to health systems. Aiming (1) to translate CD discoveries into education/information practices to raise alertness and empowerment of affected people; and (2) to perform an active search of CD cases, articulating intersectoral actions to improve the access of infected people to the local health service for the treatment of CD; our research group developed and tested under field conditions as innovative social technology: an itinerant education interdisciplinary setting named “Chagas Express XXI” (CE21). Methodology CE21 was created as an “imaginary train” with ~40 ArtScience workshops, games, laboratory activities and conversation circles. An entry/exit plus six activity modules combined associations of affected people, microscopic observations, One Health education, and wellness activities. CE21 was conceived as a social technology, since all the processes were co-created with CD patients and inter-sector local partners. Descriptive statistics showed quantitative data collected throughout the expeditions (CD knowledge, serological results). Qualitative data accessed the public perceptions about the education activities. Principal findings CE21 was exhibited in local educational institutions (schools, universities) in four cities, engaging 2,117 people that evaluated the 41 activities carried out. Citizens and health professionals enjoyed acquisition of information related to blood, parasites, vectors, reservoirs, environmental changes, and social determinants of CD. Further, local legacies of 600 participants volunteer for health promotion groups and CD associations, local empowerment groups to fight for better health conditions, and 05 mural paintings. We observed that 81% of the participants ignored the possibility of treating CD while 52% of the participants requested a blood test for CD showing seropositivity in 20% of them. Conclusions CE21 is a social technology potentially useful for health and science education and active search of asymptomatic CD chronic cases. Moreover, this technology may be adapted to understand and to cooperate in other potentially epidemic situations, especially NTDs related.

TL;DR: This study addresses the mental health care from the user perspective and his relationship with other users and professionals, using the principles of cartography as the center of analysis.
Abstract: SANTOS, H.E. Users voice Cartography of mental health network [Master ́s Degree Dissertation] University of Sao Paulo, College of Public Healh, Sao Paulo, 2016 Mental health attention as a health policy is undergoing significant changes resulting from the mobilization of mental health workers, as well as users and their families, and other social players through the Anti-asylum Campaign. The Psychiatric reform, adopted as a model of mental health care in Brazil, is based on the ideals of the Brazilian health reform and international movement against abuses and violence of the asylum model. Currently in Brazil, SUS has as a premise the Psychosocial Support Network deployment, taking into account the principles of universality, integrality and fairness, as well as the principles of the mental health policy of deinstitutionalization and harm reduction. The Mental health care production takes place in a field marked by disputes between different models of mental health care and the comprehension of where "madness" is inserted in our society. This study addresses the mental health care from the user perspective and his relationship with other users and professionals, using the principles of cartography as the center of analysis. The research made possible the construction of analyzers, through the use of tools such as journaling and collective processing between researchers, managers, workers and users. The analyzers identified were related to multiplicity, bond, autonomy, chronicity and participation. The analyzer ́s discussion, through real life experiences observed in the field, gave emphasis to the micropolitics of living work in health about the intercessor ́s encounters. The main challenges to mental health care are related to the complexity and uniqueness of each user in the production of autonomy and freedom throughout his life, at the maximum of their potential.
