Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis, characterization and antimicrobial activity of dextran stabilized silver nanoparticles in aqueous medium
Kalipada Bankura,Dipanwita Maity,Md. Masud Rahaman Mollick,Dibyendu Mondal,Biplab Bhowmick,Mrinal Kanti Bain,Anirban Chakraborty,Jit Sarkar,Krishnendu Acharya,Dipankar Chattopadhyay +9 more
TL;DR: The antimicrobial activity of as synthesized silver nanoparticles is tested against the bacteria, Bacilli subtilis, Bacillus cereus, Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of poly(vinyl pyrrolidone) on the morphology and physical properties of poly(vinyl alcohol)/sodium montmorillonite nanocomposite films
Dibyendu Mondal,Md. Masud Rahaman Mollick,Biplab Bhowmick,Dipanwita Maity,Mrinal Kanti Bain,Dipak Rana,Asis Mukhopadhyay,Kausik Dana,Dipankar Chattopadhyay +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, X-ray diffraction analysis and images of transmission electron microscopy establish the formation of PVA/PVP/Na + MMT intercalated nanocomposite.
Journal ArticleDOI
Anticancer (in vitro) and antimicrobial effect of gold nanoparticles synthesized using Abelmoschus esculentus (L.) pulp extract via a green route
Md. Masud Rahaman Mollick,Biplab Bhowmick,Dibyendu Mondal,Dipanwita Maity,Dipak Rana,Sandeep Kumar Dash,Sourav Chattopadhyay,Somenath Roy,Joy Sarkar,Krishnendu Acharya,Mukut Chakraborty,Dipankar Chattopadhyay +11 more
TL;DR: Results clearly show that the Abelmoschus esculentus (L.) pulp synthesized Au NPs have excellent medicinal applications and are capable of significantly elevating intracellular reactive oxygen species and diminishing mitochondrial membrane potential, indicating the effective involvement of apoptosis in cell death.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mycogenesis of gold nanoparticles using a phytopathogen Alternaria alternata.
TL;DR: A proposed mechanistic principal might serve as a set of design rule for the synthesis of nanostructures with desired architecture and can be amenable for the large scale commercial production and technical applications.
Journal ArticleDOI
Studies on green synthesized silver nanoparticles using Abelmoschus esculentus (L.) pulp extract having anticancer (in vitro) and antimicrobial applications
Md. Masud Rahaman Mollick,Dipak Rana,Sandeep Kumar Dash,Sourav Chattopadhyay,Biplab Bhowmick,Dipanwita Maity,Dibyendu Mondal,Sutanuka Pattanayak,Somenath Roy,Mukut Chakraborty,Dipankar Chattopadhyay +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used the phytochemicals present in A. esculentus pulp extract as reducing and stabilizing agent for the synthesis of Ag NPs.
