Journal ArticleDOI
Transcription factors T-bet and Runx3 cooperate to activate Ifng and silence Il4 in T helper type 1 cells
TL;DR: The data indicate that cytokine gene expression in TH1 cells may be controlled by a feed-forward regulatory circuit in which T-bet induces Runx3 and then 'partners' with Runx 3 to direct lineage-specific gene activation and silencing.
Journal ArticleDOI
Transcriptional repression by AML1 and LEF-1 is mediated by the TLE/Groucho corepressors
Ditsa Levanon,Robert Goldstein,Yael Bernstein,Hua Tang,Dalia Goldenberg,Stefano Stifani,Ze'ev Paroush,Yoram Groner +7 more
TL;DR: It is shown that AML1 and LEF-1 can act, through recruitment of the corepressor TLE1, as transcriptional repressors in TCR regulation and Wnt/Wg signaling.
Journal ArticleDOI
Runx3 and T-box proteins cooperate to establish the transcriptional program of effector CTLs
Fernando Cruz-Guilloty,Matthew E. Pipkin,Ivana M. Djuretic,Ditsa Levanon,Joseph Lotem,Mathias G. Lichtenheld,Yoram Groner,Anjana Rao +7 more
TL;DR: It is shown that effector CTL differentiation occurs in two sequential phases in vitro, characterized by early induction of T-bet and late induction of Eomesodermin (Eomes), T-box transcription factors that regulate the early and late phases of interferon γ expression, respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Runx3 transcription factor regulates development and survival of TrkC dorsal root ganglia neurons
Ditsa Levanon,David Bettoun,Catherine Harris-Cerruti,Eilon Woolf,Varda Negreanu,Raya Eilam,Yael Bernstein,Dalia Goldenberg,Cuiying Xiao,Manfred Fliegauf,E. Kremer,Florian Otto,Ori Brenner,Aharon Lev-Tov,Yoram Groner +14 more
TL;DR: It is shown that Runx3‐deficient mice develop severe limb ataxia due to disruption of monosynaptic connectivity between intra spinal afferents and motoneurons, and the underlying cause is a loss of DRG proprioceptive neurons.
Journal ArticleDOI
AML1, AML2, and AML3, the Human Members of the runt domain Gene-Family: cDNA Structure, Expression, and Chromosomal Localization
TL;DR: Analysis of AML1 and AML2 expression in hematopoietic cell lines revealed a distinct pattern of expression, and their C-terminal halves were particularly rich in proline and serine residues.
