Thin-Film Bulk-Acoustic-Resonator Gas Sensor Functionalized With a Nanocomposite Langmuir–Blodgett Layer of Carbon Nanotubes

TL;DR: In this article, a thin-film bulk acoustic resonator (TFBAR) based on a vibrating membrane of AlN/Si3N4 has been fabricated onto a silicon substrate and functionally characterized as gas sensor at a resonating frequency of 1.045 GHz.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Towards air quality indices in smart cities by calibrated low-cost sensors applied to networks

TL;DR: In this article, an experimental study focusses on air quality monitoring by low-cost and accurate sensors to provide a rank of air quality indices for citizens community in smart cities.
Journal ArticleDOI

Pt-modified carbon nanotube networked layers for enhanced gas microsensors

TL;DR: In this paper, surface modifications of the CNTs networks with sputtered Platinum (Pt) nanoclusters, at tuned loading of 8, 15 and 30 nm, provide higher sensitivity for significantly enhanced gas detection compared to undecorated CNT networks.
Journal ArticleDOI

Design and Development of a Flexible, Plug-and-Play, Cost-Effective Tool for on-Field Evaluation of Gas Sensors

TL;DR: The effectiveness of this tool in evaluating the performance of heterogeneous gas sensors in different real-world scenarios has been demonstrated and it is anticipated that the use of SentinAir will facilitate researchers to carry out these challenging tasks.
