Wind potential assessment to estimate performance of selected wind turbines in Pandansimo Beach-Yogyakarta

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors presented the characteristics of wind speed and wind energy potential in the Pandansimo Beach-Yogyakarta based on Weibull distribution analysis and showed that the wind turbine with the highest value of capacity factor is VESTAS V-110 with 33.97% and can produce 5951.04 M Wh/year.

Wind potential assessment in urban area of Surakarta city

Slotted blade effect on Savonius wind rotor performance

TL;DR: In this paper, a slotted blade was used to improve the performance of the Savonius wind turbine by varying the slot position, and the results showed that the use of slotted blades could increase the coefficient power of the wind turbine 0.95 with a variation of the slotted rotor at 25% position.
