Time trends in cancer mortality in China: 1987-1999.
TL;DR: The large increases in the absolute number of deaths that resulted from the increasing and aging population are much more important in determining the future cancer burden than any changes due to change in risk, emphasizing the increasing importance of cancer as a health problem in the 21st century in China.

Lack of benefit from semi-annual screening for cancer of the lung : follow-up report of a randomized controlled trial on a population of high-risk males in Czechoslovakia
TL;DR: Comparison of the two groups showed a higher incidence of lung cancer in the intervention group, despite the follow‐up period when both groups received annual examinations, and there was no significant difference in mortality between the 2 groups.
