Abstract: A wireless communication system for interconnecting an ad-hoc network and an IS network, and a wireless terminal and communication method therefor are disclosed. The communication method includes transmitting a discovery signal including terminal information of the wireless terminal to a radio network, receiving a response signal including information for network access from a base station or another wireless terminal, which has received the discovery signal, selecting an operation mode for access to a network through the base station or the other wireless terminal, based on the response signal, communicating with the base station and accessing the IS network when the selected operation mode corresponds to a first mode and accessing a network, to which the other wireless terminal belongs, through a licensed frequency band of the IS network when the selected operation mode corresponds to a second mode. Accordingly, it is possible to support communication through an existing infrastructure and support communication of an ad-hoc network scheme, through use of a licensed frequency band assigned to the provider of an existing IS network.

TL;DR: In this article, a method for setting up a network for Internet Protocol (IP) communication between mobile terminals is described, where a mobile terminal determines a second mobile terminal that will communicate with the first mobile terminal and performs network setup using the network setup information.
Abstract: A method is provided for setting up a network for Internet Protocol (IP) communication between mobile terminals. A first mobile terminal determines a second mobile terminal that will communicate with the first mobile terminal. The first mobile terminal generates network setup information of the first mobile terminal for the IP communication and performs network setup using the network setup information. The first mobile terminal generates a network setup message including network setup information of the second mobile terminal, and sends the network setup message to the second mobile terminal.

TL;DR: In this paper, a display apparatus includes an image processor which processes an image to display an image content; a display unit which displays thereon an image contents that is processed by the image processor; and a controller which displays a user interface (UI) menu including a plurality of UI items to search the image content.
Abstract: A display apparatus includes an image processor which processes an image to display an image content; a display unit which displays thereon an image content that is processed by the image processor; and a controller which displays a user interface (UI) menu including a plurality of UI items to search the image content, as one of a two-dimensional (2D) layout by which the plurality of UI items are arranged in a 2D manner, and a three-dimensional (3D) layout by which the plurality of UI items are arranged in a 3D manner , and changes displaying the one of the layouts to display the other of the layouts according to a user's command while maintaining a continuity of the arrangement of the plurality of UI items. Accordingly, search for an image content can be efficiently performed by using a UI menu.

TL;DR: In this paper, display logic may determine when and how to use a display bezel area for displaying content, via a combination of criteria, such as sensors, device configuration, content type, primary display activity, and user preferences.
Abstract: In an embodiment, a system includes a peripheral controller to interface with a touch controller and to communicate mapping information to identify primary and secondary regions of a display. The touch controller includes logic to filter touch data when it is for a touch within the secondary region and to communicate the touch data to the peripheral controller when it is for the user touch within the primary region. In an embodiment, display logic may determine when and how to use a display bezel area for displaying content, via a combination of criteria. Decision vectors (such as sensors, device configuration, content type, primary display activity) may enable/disable display areas for rendering, with independent control of each side of the bezel. Content can be rendered based on primary display content, environment, other devices and user preferences. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

TL;DR: In this article, a non-gateway node transmits an internet route request to neighbor nodes and receives, from a gateway node, a response message including an address of the gateway node and a gateway indicator.
Abstract: In some aspects, a non-gateway node transmits an internet route request to neighbor nodes and receives, from a gateway node, a response message including an address of the gateway node and a gateway indicator. The non-gateway node sets a gateway pointer equal to this address. In other aspects, a gateway node receives an internet route request from neighbor nodes and transmits, to the neighbor nodes, a response message including an address of the gateway node and a gateway indicator. In additional aspects, a non-gateway node receives, from gateway nodes on the network, an announcement of internet connectivity that includes address of the gateway nodes. The non-gateway node adds these addresses to a list of potential gateways. When the non-gateway nodes receives packets for transmission to an internet destination, it selects a gateway address from the list, and transmits the packets to a destination gateway associated with the gateway address.
