Abstract: Green consumerism has been considered as one of promising movement in maintaining the environmental quality. This research aimed to describe the students’ pro-environmental behavior (PEB) as considerable as there learning outcome based on green consumerism. This survey research was conducted in State Junior High School 1 of South Tambun, Bekasi, West Java on July-August 2018. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling with 256 students. The subject was divided into two groups: 128 students from seventh grade who had not received environmental learning materials and 128 students from eighth grade who had received environmental learning materials. The data analysis used in this study was an independent t-test. The results of the t-test showed that there was no significant difference of PEB achievement between the two groups. In addition, not with standing that the average of the students’ environmental learning outcomes was 72.76, but there was as high as 78.60% of students’ achievement was classified below the standard value. Thus, teachers should evaluate the environmental materials used. It is expected that Biology subjects on environmental material can accommodate green consumerism concepts.

Abstract: Pocketbook based on Mind Map is a supporting book with a size smaller than the standard size, which is systematically in accordance with the working principle of the brain and does not require extensive space in storing it. The aims of studies to explore the potential for developing biology pocketbook based on Mind Map (BIOMAP). This is a descriptive qualitative study with survey methods. The Data collected using the instrument developed that was validated by two experts and tested on 51 students and two high school biology teachers in Jakarta. The results obtained explained that around 72.5% of respondents answered that biological material was difficult to learn. For difficult material, 53.8% of respondents answered Animalia and Plantae. Biological learning difficulties are dominated by the amount of memorization in the material according to the opinion of 72.1% of respondents. Teacher respondents argue that additional learning resources can stimulate students to improve their learning outcomes. The existence of various additional learning resources it is hoped that it can be a solution to the learning problems experienced by students. Based on these data, it can be concluded that students need additional innovative and interesting learning resources accompanied by mind maps.

Abstract: This study aims to determine students’ profiles of learning styles, levels of higher-order thinking skills, and the effect of differences in students’ competence to various HOTS instruments using the Science Adaptive Assessment Tool application. In this study, researcher used the descriptive survey approach. The subjects of this study were 251 students of grade 8 (Al-Zahra Indonesia Secondary school and MTsN 1 South Tangerang (Islamic Secondary school) academic year of 2019/2020. The research instrument used was a test to measure 21st century skills (HOTS), which varied on the learning styles of students studying natural science (Biology and Physics). The instrument was validated by expert judgment and empirically tested in order to obtain instrument reliability of learning style with adequate to high category variations. The results shows: (1) the profile of the most popular student learning styles is the assimilator (27,50%), while at least it is converger (20,71%); (2) Females tend to have assimilator learning style pattern, while males tend to have an accommodator learning style; (3) The higher-order thinking skills level in the Biology material was moderate (an average score of 39,69 from a maximum score of 70). The physics subject is in the lower category (an average score of 21,28 from a maximum score of 70); (4) The achievement of the HOTS score was influenced by the type of learning style and had average of a very small correlation, (5) There was significant difference incompetence across the Kolb’s learning styles—divergers, assimilators, convergers, and accommodators with the use of various HOTS instruments.

Abstract: Scientific literacy is a person’s ability to use scientific knowledge and processes to understand scientific phenomena in solving problems or making decisions. The purpose of this study is to analyze scientific literacy research in the field of physics education and see its trends to find the research opportunity for further research. The results of the bibliometric analysis were used in this study. The search results from the Scopus database was extracted using the VOSviewer software. A total of 644 articles related to scientific literacy were analyzed and mapped. Based on the mapping results, 44 scientific literacy articles in education and 3 scientific literacy articles in physics were obtained. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that scientific literacy related to physics education has been rarely studied. Thus, it can be an opportunity for further researchers to conduct research related to the trends.

Abstract: This research aimed to develop eco-friendly website in Biology learning which based on project activities for environmental pollution based on the National Curriculum. This Research and Development (R & D) using Borg and Gall strategy. The research data was gathered using quality evaluation eco-friendly website questionnaire, portfolio assessment sheet, pretest and posttest questions, student’s respond questionnaire, and interview sheet. Data analysis and discussion result has proved that (1) the eligibility of eco-friendly website based on the evaluation of the content expert, media expert and peer reviewer is excellent; based on the student’s evaluation, good. (2) The ability of student’s cognitive increased after having the Biology class activities in the eco-friendly project. Abstract: Article history Received: 10 September 2019 Revised: 17 October 2019 Accepted: 11 November 2019 This research aimed to find out the effectiveness of experiential learning (EL) model with mind mapping to improve the science process skills (SPS) on fungi materials. It was quasi-experiment research by using a pre-test post-test control group design. The population of the study was all of the tenth-grade students of Kalasan State 1 Senior High School amount of 127 students in the odd semester in 2018/2019 of the school year. The sample techniques were cluster random sampling. The sample consisted of 26 students (10 students male and 16 students female) as the experiment class by implementing EL model with mind mapping and 26 students (9 students male and 17 students female) as control class by using 5M (observing, asking, collecting, associating, communicating) learning model. The used instrument was ten essay questions. The data of the research were analyzed by using t-test (independent sample t-test). Based on the result of the normalized gain score, it showed that there was an improvement of SPS about 0,85 in the experiment class which was higher than that in the control class about 0,70. Besides, it also showed a significant value (2-tailed) that was 0,000 (<0,05). It means that there was a difference in science process skills between the experiment class and control class, so the learning process through EL learning model with mind mapping proved useful to improve the students’ science process skills.
