Journal ArticleDOI

Studies on the reactivity of S,N-derivatives of nickel with N-donor bases. Crystal structure and magnetic properties of the cubane cluster tetrakis(.mu.-hydroxo)tetrakis(.mu.-1,3-thiazolidine-2-thionato)tetrakis(pyridine)tetranickel(II)-dipyridine

TL;DR: The reaction of polymeric [Ni(tzdt) 2 ] (tzdt=1,3-thiazolidine-2-thionate) with pyridine affords two different compounds depending on the conditions employed as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

A trinuclear Pt(II) compound with short Pt–Pt–Pt contacts. An analysis of the influence of π–π stacking interactions on the strength and length of the Pt–Pt bond

TL;DR: This work reports the first example of a trinuclear Pt(II) complex with Pt-Pt-pt bonds that are not facilitated by direct intervention of bridging ligands but are partially held by the attractive pi-pi stacking interaction between the phenyl units of the 4,4'-dimethyl-2,2'-bipyridyl ligands.
Journal ArticleDOI

The Structure of Pyrazoles in the Solid State: A Combined CPMAS, NMR, and Crystallographic Study

TL;DR: The structures of six N-unsubstituted pyrazoles, three already known and three newly synthesized, have been studied by a combination of X-ray crystallography, multinuclear NMR (solution and solid state), and density functional theory (DFT) calculations.
Journal ArticleDOI

The structure of halogeno-1,2,4-triazoles in the solid state and in solution

TL;DR: The X-ray molecular structures of two halogenotriazoles, 3-chloro- and 3-bromo-1H-1,2,4-triazole, have been determined, thus ending a controversy that made these compounds an exception to a general rule concerning their annular tautomerism as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Silver and gold luminescent metallomesogens based on pyrazole ligands.

TL;DR: The luminescent behaviour of selected compounds as a function of the temperature indicates that the luminescence is maintained in the mesophase, and the new complexes are photoluminescent both in the solid state and in solution at room temperature.
