TL;DR: In this article, the infrared and laser Raman spectra of β-LiVOPO 4 and NaVopO 4 were recorded and briefly discussed with the aid of factor group analyses, based on recently reported structural data.
Abstract: The infrared and laser Raman spectra of β-LiVOPO 4 and NaVOPO 4 were recorded and are briefly discussed with the aid of factor group analyses, based on recently reported structural data. Some spectroscopic features related to the characteristics of the V-O and P-O bonds in these compounds are also commented upon

TL;DR: In this paper, the use of interferometric instruments and excitation of samples with near-infrared light to obtain Raman spectra has established itself as a very useful technique.
Abstract: The use of interferometric instruments and excitation of samples with near-infrared light to obtain Raman spectra has established itself as a very useful technique. The main advantage, besides the relative simplicity of this approach, is the absence of the intense fluorescence background very often encountered with dispersive instruments when one is using visible light for excitation, mainly for organic samples.

Journal ArticleDOI
TL;DR: In this article, the synthesis of copper(II) sebacate, a potentially useful compound for copper supplementation, has been improved by means of IR and electronic spectroscopy, as well as by magnetic susceptibility measurements over a wide temperature range.

Journal ArticleDOI
TL;DR: In this article, the infrared spectra of normal and deuterated VO(OH) 2 were recorded and discussed on the basis of its structural characteristics, and the structural properties of the VO( OH 2 were discussed.

TL;DR: Results obtained at higher ligand to metal ratios suggest a different coordination behavior of the interaction of VO2+ with the muchopolysaccharide chondroitin sulfate A (CSA).
Abstract: The interaction of VO2+ with the muchopolysaccharide chondroitin sulfate A (CSA) has been investigated by electron absorption spectroscopy and infrared measurements in aqueous solutions at different pH-values and ligand to metal ratios up to 6:1. The generation of a VO(CSA)2 species could be demonstrated. Coordination of the oxocation through the carboxylate group and the glycosidic oxygen of thed-glucuronate moieties is suggested. Infrared spectra of some poorly characterized solid VO/CSA complexes point to the same bonding characteristics. Preliminary results obtained at higher ligand to metal ratios suggest a different coordination behavior.

Journal ArticleDOI
TL;DR: In this paper, the internal vibrations of the CrO2−4 ions were assigned with the aid of a factor group analysis, and the d-d transitions of the CuIIO6 moieties and one of the O → Cu charge transfer bands were also assigned.

Journal ArticleDOI
TL;DR: Magnetic susceptibility measurements of the last series of KLn(CrO 4 ) 2 (LnY, DyLu) were made in the temperature range 4.2-300 K as mentioned in this paper.

Journal ArticleDOI
TL;DR: In this article, the vanadyl(IV) cation with S-methyl-glutathione (GSMe) in solution has been investigated using spectrophotometric techniques, and a single 2:1 GSMe:VO 2+ complex, coordinated through carboxylate groups, could be identified at pH = 7 in all investigated metal-to-ligand ratios.
