Journal ArticleDOI

Oxidative stress and male infertility: current knowledge of pathophysiology and role of antioxidant therapy in disease management

TL;DR: Physiological ROS production, roles of genetic and epigenetic factors on the OS and male infertility with various mechanisms such as lipid peroxidation, DNA damage, and disorder of male hormone profile, inflammation, and varicocele are described.
Journal ArticleDOI

CYP1A1 and GSTs common gene variations and presbycusis risk: a genetic association analysis and a bioinformatics approach

TL;DR: The rs4646903, rs1048943 SNPs as well as GSTM1 and GSTT1 deletions could be considered as genetic risk factors for the development and progression of presbycusis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Oxidative stress markers in seminal plasma of idiopathic infertile men may be associated with glutathione S‐transferase M1 and T1 null genotypes

TL;DR: The GSTM1 and GSTT1 null genotypes could be considered as genetic risk factors for male infertility, interfering with some oxidative stress markers in infertile men.
Journal ArticleDOI

Probiotics and the Treatment of Parkinson's Disease: An Update.

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of probiotics on motor and non-motor symptoms as well as various cellular and molecular pathways in Parkinson's disease were summarized, and it was shown that probiotic supplementation mediates these pharmacological effects by targeting a variety of cellular processes, i.e., oxidative stress, inflammatory and anti-inflammatory pathways, and apoptosis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Quercetin and Glioma: Which signaling pathways are involved?

TL;DR: Cellular and molecular pathways that are affected by Quercetin in gliomas are summarized, documenting this natural compound exerts its pharmacological effects by targeting a variety of cellular and molecular processes.
