Journal ArticleDOI
The Medipix3RX: a high resolution, zero dead-time pixel detector readout chip allowing spectroscopic imaging
Rafael Ballabriga,J. Alozy,Gabriel Blaj,Michael Campbell,Michael Fiederle,Erik Fröjdh,Erik H.M. Heijne,X. Llopart,M. Pichotka,S. Procz,Lukas Tlustos,W. Wong +11 more
TL;DR: The Medipix3RX chip as mentioned in this paper uses an architecture in which adjacent pixels communicate in the analog and digital domains on an event-by-event basis to reconstruct the deposited charge in a neighbourhood prior to the assignation of the hit to a single pixel.
Journal ArticleDOI
Review of hybrid pixel detector readout ASICs for spectroscopic X-ray imaging
Rafael Ballabriga,J. Alozy,M. Campbell,Erik Fröjdh,Erik H.M. Heijne,Erik H.M. Heijne,T Koenig,X. Llopart,J Marchal,David Pennicard,Tuomas Poikela,Lukas Tlustos,P. Valerio,W. Wong,Marcus Zuber +14 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors review the state of the art in semiconductor-detector readout ASICs for spectroscopic X-ray imaging with emphasis on hybrid pixel detector technology.
Journal ArticleDOI
Timepix3: first measurements and characterization of a hybrid-pixel detector working in event driven mode
Erik Fröjdh,Erik Fröjdh,M. Campbell,M. De Gaspari,Szymon Kulis,X. Llopart,T. Poikela,Lukas Tlustos,Lukas Tlustos +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the first radiation measurements with Timepix3 bump bonded to a 300 μm thick silicon sensor are presented, where the chip is calibrated per pixel, using internal test pulses and the calibration is verified using X-ray fluorescence.
Journal ArticleDOI
Micrometer-resolution imaging using MÖNCH: towards G2-less grating interferometry
S. Cartier,Matias Kagias,Matias Kagias,Anna Bergamaschi,Zhentian Wang,Zhentian Wang,Roberto Dinapoli,Aldo Mozzanica,M. Ramilli,Bernd Schmitt,Martin Brückner,Erik Fröjdh,Dominic Greiffenberg,Davit Mayilyan,Davide Mezza,S. Redford,C. Ruder,Lukas Schädler,Xintian Shi,D. Thattil,G. Tinti,J. Zhang,Marco Stampanoni,Marco Stampanoni +23 more
TL;DR: The MÖNCH 25 µm-pitch hybrid pixel detector is described in detail and characterized and the interpolation algorithm developed to achieve micrometer-level resolution is applied to grating interferometry measurements.
Journal ArticleDOI
Electron crystallography with the EIGER detector
G. Tinti,Erik Fröjdh,Eric van Genderen,Tim Gruene,Bernd Schmitt,D. A. Matthijs de Winter,Bert M. Weckhuysen,Jan Pieter Abrahams +7 more
TL;DR: An EIGER detector with 256 × 256 pixels has been used to collect electron diffraction data from a SAPO-34 crystal and the data quality is comparable with other hybrid pixel detectors available for electrons diffraction.
