Journal ArticleDOI

Artificial neural network associated to UV/Vis spectroscopy for monitoring bioreactions in biopharmaceutical processes.

TL;DR: The present work allows for UV–VIS sensor development, and decreases cost related to nutrients and metabolite quantifications, as well as viable cell concentration based on UV–Vis spectral data of mammalian cell bioprocess using phenol red in culture medium.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ethanol biosynthesis by fast hydrolysis of cassava bagasse using fungal amylases produced in optimized conditions

TL;DR: In this article, a fast and inexpensive bioprocess for amylase production, able to hydrolyze complex residues in fermentable sugars to be used for ethanol production was developed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Artificial intelligence approach for high level production of amylase using Rhizopus microsporus var. oligosporus and different agro‐industrial wastes

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors aimed at definition of culture medium composition using four agro-industrial wastes (wheat bran, type II wheat flour, soybean meal and sugarcane bagasse) in solid-state fermentation of Rhizopus oligosporus, for high-level production of amylases through approaches based on artificial intelligence (AI) or response surface methodologies (RSM).
Journal ArticleDOI

Optimization of artificial neural network by genetic algorithm for describing viral production from uniform design data

TL;DR: The ANN optimized by the combined algorithm showed a good calibration for all UDs under consideration, thus demonstrating to be suitable as a correlation method in UDs independent of the experimental runs developed, which could guide researchers in the efficient use of UDs in the simulation and optimization of virus production processes.
