Journal ArticleDOI

CO line emission in the halo of a radio galaxy at z=2.6

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors reported the detection of luminous CO(3-2) line emission in the halo of the z=2.6 radio galaxy TXS0828+193, which has no detected counterpart at optical to mid-infrared wavelengths implying a stellar mass < few x10^9 M_sun and relatively low star-formation rates.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ultraviolet Observations of the Powering Source of the Supergiant Shell in IC 2574

TL;DR: In this paper, a multiband analysis of the region containing the supergiant H I shell in the nearby dwarf irregular galaxy IC 2574 presents evidence of a causal relationship between a central star cluster, the surrounding expanding H I shells, and secondary star formation sites on the rim of the shell.
Journal ArticleDOI

Towards A Removal of Temperature Dependencies from Abundance Determinations

TL;DR: In this article, the authors used the [O III] 88 \micron\ fine-structure line in NGC 628 that were obtained as part of the KINGFISH program to derive oxygen abundances for seven HII regions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dark and luminous matter in THINGS dwarf galaxies

TL;DR: In this paper, mass models for the dark matter component of seven dwarf galaxies taken from "The HI Nearby Galaxy Survey" (THINGS) and compare these with those from numerical Lambda Cold Dark Matter (LCDM) simulations are presented.
