Faint CO Line Wings in Four Star-Forming (Ultra)luminous Infrared Galaxies

TL;DR: In this article, a search for large velocity width, low-intensity line wings -a commonly used signature of molecular outflows - in four low redshift (ultra)luminous infrared galaxies (U/LIRGs) that appear to be dominated by star formation was conducted.
Journal ArticleDOI

Unveiling the warm and dense ISM in z > 6 quasar host galaxies via water vapor emission

TL;DR: In this article , the authors used the MOLPOP-CEP radiative transfer code to model the H 2 O lines in a quasar host galaxy and found that water vapor lines in these quasar hosts are primarily excited in warm dense (gas kinetic temperature and density of T kin = 50K, n H 2 ∼ 10 4 . 5 − 10 5 cm − 3 ) molecular medium with water vapor column density of N H 2 o ∼ 2 × 10 17 − 3 × 10 18 cm− 3 .
Proceedings ArticleDOI

LADUMA: looking at the distant universe with the MeerKAT array

Sarah Blyth, +81 more
TL;DR: The LADUMA project as mentioned in this paper is a large-scale L-band+UHF-band Looking At the Distant Universe with the MeerKAT Array (LADUma) survey, which will probe HI in emission within a single vuvuzela that extends to z = 1.4, when the universe was only a third of its present age.
Journal ArticleDOI

The interstellar medium distribution, gas kinematics, and system dynamics of the far-infrared luminous quasar SDSS J2310+1855 at z = 6.0

TL;DR: In this article , a 3D tilted ring model was employed to fit the [CII, CO(9-8), and OH$+} lines along with their dust continuum emission toward the FIR luminous quasar SDSS J231038.
