Preoperative monocyte-to-lymphocyte ratio predicts recurrence in gastrointestinal stromal tumors
Ferdinando Carlo Maria Cananzi,Eleonora Maddalena Minerva,Laura Samà,Laura Ruspi,Federico Sicoli,Lorenzo Conti,Uberto Fumagalli Romario,Vittorio Quagliuolo +7 more
TL;DR: Several inflammation markers were found to have a prognostic value in cancer and the significance of preoperative white cell ratios in determining gastrointestinal stromal tumors outcome was investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Major vascular resection in retroperitoneal sarcoma surgery.
Ferdinando Carlo Maria Cananzi,Laura Ruspi,Marco Fiore,Federico Sicoli,Vittorio Quagliuolo,Alessandro Gronchi +5 more
TL;DR: The involvement of major blood vessels is not considered to be an absolute contraindication for surgical resection for retroperitoneal sarcoma, and the main issue when evaluating a possible major vascular resection is to balance the possible surgical morbidity with the expected survival benefit as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
Did outcomes improve in retroperitoneal sarcoma surgery
Ferdinando Carlo Maria Cananzi,Laura Ruspi,Federico Sicoli,Eleonora Maddalena Minerva,Vittorio Quagliuolo +4 more
TL;DR: In this review, main changes in the surgical management of retroperitoneal sarcoma are discussed in order to figure out whether actual improvement in RPS outcome has been occurred in the last years.
Journal ArticleDOI
Adoption of a Newly Introduced Dermal Matrix: Preliminary Experience and Future Directions.
Andrea Lisa,Leonardo Galtelli,Valeriano Vinci,Alessandra Veronesi,Luca Cozzaglio,Ferdinando Carlo Maria Cananzi,Federico Sicoli,Marco Klinger +7 more
TL;DR: This study assesses the benefits of PELNAC™ and proposes this method as an alternative to traditional approaches, especially in situations where the latter techniques cannot be applied.
Journal ArticleDOI
Short-term outcomes after duodenal surgery for mesenchymal tumors: a retrospective analysis from a single tertiary referral center.
Ferdinando Carlo Maria Cananzi,Laura Ruspi,Laura Samà,Federico Sicoli,Damiano Gentile,Eleonora Maddalena Minerva,Luca Cozzaglio,Vittorio Quagliuolo +7 more
TL;DR: Patients who underwent duodenal resection for RPS and GIST at the Institute between 2000 and 2016 have significant morbidity rate and whenever it is possible, WR is preferable to SR because of the lower mortality rate.
