Dual modes of CRISPR-associated transposon homing
Makoto Saito,Alim Ladha,Jonathan Strecker,Guilhem Faure,Edwin Neumann,Han Altae-Tran,Rhiannon K. Macrae,Feng Zhang +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated CAST V-K and I-B systems and found two distinct modes of transposition: (1) crRNA-guided transposition and (2) CRISPR array-independent homing.

LAMP-Seq: Population-Scale COVID-19 Diagnostics Using Combinatorial Barcoding
Jonathan L. Schmid-Burgk,Ricarda Maria Schmithausen,David Li,Ronja Hollstein,Amir Ben-Shmuel,Ofir Israeli,Shay Weiss,Nir Paran,Gero Wilbring,Jana Liebing,David Feldman,Mikolaj Slabicki,Mikolaj Slabicki,Mikolaj Slabicki,Bärbel Lippke,Esther Sib,Jacob Borrajo,Jacob Borrajo,Jonathan Strecker,Julia Reinhardt,Per Hoffmann,Per Hoffmann,Brian Cleary,Michael Hölzel,Markus M. Nöthen,Martin Exner,Kerstin U. Ludwig,Aviv Regev,Feng Zhang +28 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented a protocol for LAMP-Seq, a barcoded Reverse-Transcription Loop-mediated Isothermal Amplification (RT-LAMP) method that is highly scalable.
Journal ArticleDOI
Experimental and numerical investigation of a micro-thermophotovoltaic system with different backward-facing steps and wall thicknesses
Qingguo Peng,Qingguo Peng,Jiaqiang E,Wei Yang,Hongpeng Xu,Jingwei Chen,Feng Zhang,Tian Meng,Runzhi Qiu +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the effects of step length and wall thickness on the flame stability and thermal performance of a micro-combustor with a backward-facing step are compared and the results show that the outer wall temperature can be improved by reduction of wall thickness and modified through the relocation of the high temperature zone.
Journal ArticleDOI
Inoculation of soybean (Glycine max. (L.) Merr.) with genistein-preincubated Bradyrhizobium japonicum or genistein directly applied into soil increases soybean protein and dry matter yield under short season conditions
Feng Zhang,Donald L. Smith +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the most effective plant-to-bacterium signal in the soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merr) nitrogen fixation symbiosis was used to pretreat Bradyrhizobium japonicum.

Cell line, system and method for optical-based screening of ion-channel modulators
TL;DR: In this article, a variety of applications, systems, methods and constructs are implemented for use in connection with screening of ion-channel modulators, and drug candidates are screened to identify their effects on cell membrane ion channels and pumps.
