Journal ArticleDOI
The role of CpG ODN in enhancement of immune response and protection in BALB/c mice immunized with recombinant major surface glycoprotein of Leishmania (rgp63) encapsulated in cationic liposome.
Mahmoud Reza Jaafari,Ali Badiee,Ali Khamesipour,Afshin Samiei,Dina Soroush,Masoumeh Tavassoti Kheiri,Farzaneh Barkhordari,W. Robert McMaster,Fereidoun Mahboudi +8 more
TL;DR: The results indicate that co-encapsulation of CpG ODN in liposomes improves the immunogenicity of Leishmania antigen.
Journal ArticleDOI
Genotype characterization and phylogenetic analysis of hepatitis B virus isolates from Iranian patients.
Samad Amini-Bavil-Olyaee,Ramin Sarrami-Forooshani,Fereidoun Mahboudi,Farzaneh Sabahi,Ahmad Adeli,Babak Noorinayer,Mohammad Azizi,Mohammad Reza Zali +7 more
TL;DR: Phylogenetic analysis revealed that all Iranian HBV isolates sequences were classified into genotype D with bootstrap values of 100%, 73%, and 100% (1,000 replicates each) for S, C, and preS2 regions, respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI
Immune response and protection assay of recombinant major surface glycoprotein of Leishmania (rgp63) reconstituted with liposomes in BALB/c mice
Mahmoud Reza Jaafari,Attieh Ghafarian,Ahsan Farrokh-Gisour,Afshin Samiei,Masoumeh Tavassoti Kheiri,Fereidoun Mahboudi,Farzaneh Barkhordari,Ali Khamesipour,W. Robert McMaster +8 more
TL;DR: The results indicate that liposomes might be used as a suitable immunoadjuvant for development of Leishmania vaccine.
Journal ArticleDOI
The role of liposome size on the type of immune response induced in BALB/c mice against leishmaniasis: rgp63 as a model antigen.
Ali Badiee,Ali Khamesipour,Afshin Samiei,Dina Soroush,Vahid Heravi Shargh,Masoumeh Tavassoti Kheiri,Farzaneh Barkhordari,W. Robert Mc Master,Fereidoun Mahboudi,Mahmoud Reza Jaafari +9 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that the size of liposomes plays a significant role in the type of generated immune response of mice immunized with large size liposome against leishmaniasis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Complete genomic sequence and phylogenetic relatedness of hepatitis B virus isolates from Iran.
Samad Amini-Bavil-Olyaee,Ramin Sarrami-Forooshani,Ahmad Adeli,Farzaneh Sabahi,Mansour Abachi,Mohammad Azizi,Fereidoun Mahboudi +6 more
TL;DR: Investigation of the complete genome sequence organization and phylogenetic analysis of the five HBV strains obtained from Iranian chronic infected patients revealed that the HBV genotype D, sub‐genotype D1, subtype ayw2 dominates in the Iranian infected patients.
