TL;DR: Six truncated peptides found in the skin secretion of Leptodactylus syphax were characterized and tested against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus, showing low minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) and no significant toxicity towards blood cells, including both leukocytes and erythrocytes.
