TL;DR: It is found that primary resistance to ICIs can be attributed to abnormal gut microbiome composition, and Antibiotics inhibited the clinical benefit of ICIs in patients with advanced cancer.
Journal ArticleDOI
Human gut microbes impact host serum metabolome and insulin sensitivity
Helle Krogh Pedersen,Valborg Gudmundsdottir,Henrik Nielsen,Tuulia Hyötyläinen,Tuulia Hyötyläinen,Trine G. Nielsen,Benjamin A. H. TL;DR: It is shown how the human gut microbiome impacts the serum metabolome and associates with insulin resistance in 277 non-diabetic Danish individuals and suggested that microbial targets may have the potential to diminish insulin resistance and reduce the incidence of common metabolic and cardiovascular disorders.
Journal ArticleDOI
Akkermansia muciniphila and improved metabolic health during a dietary intervention in obesity: relationship with gut microbiome richness and ecology
Maria Carlota Dao,Amandine Everard,Judith Aron-Wisnewsky,Nataliya Sokolovska,Edi Prifti,Eric O. Verger,Brandon D. Kayser,Florence Levenez,Julien Chilloux,Lesley Hoyles,Marc-Emmanuel Dumas,Salwa W. Rizkalla,Joël Doré,Patrice D. Cani,Karine Clément +14 more
TL;DR: A. muciniphila is associated with a healthier metabolic status and better clinical outcomes after CR in overweight/obese adults, and the interaction between gut microbiota ecology and A. muc iniphila warrants further investigation.

Blottière,Marion Leclerc,Catherine Juste,T. De Wouters,Patricia Lepage +30 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors evaluated the association between faecal A. muciniphila abundance and microbial gene richness after calorie restriction (CR) in overweight and obese adults.
Journal ArticleDOI
Major microbiota dysbiosis in severe obesity: fate after bariatric surgery
Judith Aron-Wisnewsky,Edi Prifti,Eugeni Belda,Farid Ichou,Brandon D. Kayser,Maria Carlota Dao,Eric O. Verger,Lyamine Hedjazi,Jean-Luc Bouillot,Jean-Marc Chevallier,Nicolas Pons,Florence Levenez,Stanislav Dusko Ehrlich,Joël Doré,Jean-Daniel Zucker,Karine Clément +15 more
TL;DR: Major gut microbiota alterations in severe Obesity are identified, which include decreased MGR and related functional pathways linked with metabolic deteriorations, which calls for additional strategies to improve the gut microbiota ecosystem and microbiome–host interactions in severe obesity.
