Journal ArticleDOI

Comparative analysis of visual outcomes with 4 intraocular lenses: Monofocal, multifocal, and extended range of vision.

TL;DR: Comparing the visual acuity, refractive outcomes, and quality of vision in patients with bilateral implantation of 4 intraocular lenses found the extended-range-of-vision IOL provided significantly better intermediate visual restoration after cataract surgery than the monofocal Iol and +3.0 D multifocal IOL, with significantly betterquality of vision.
Journal ArticleDOI

Coronavirus disease 2019 (SARS-CoV-2) and colonization of ocular tissues and secretions: a systematic review.

TL;DR: A systematic review of articles referenced in PubMed, Cochrane Library, Web of Science and Chinese Clinical Trial Register from December 20, 2019 to April 6, 2020, providing information on the presence of SARS-CoV-2 in cornea, conjunctiva, lacrimal sac, and tears found 11 articles met the inclusion criteria for analysis and were included in the study.
Journal ArticleDOI

Accuracy of the refractive prediction determined by multiple currently available intraocular lens power calculation formulas in small eyes.

TL;DR: The Hoffer Q formula led to good or fair refractive outcomes in less than two thirds of the cases, and none of the latest-generation formulas significantly outperformed the others (P = .245).
Journal ArticleDOI

Acute bilateral angle-closure glaucoma and choroidal effusion associated with acetazolamide administration after cataract surgery.

TL;DR: A 76-year-old man who developed bilateral angle-closure glaucoma with extensive choroidal detachment following administration of oral acetazolamide immediately after routine cataract extraction and intraocular lens implantation is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

Anatomical and functional results of macular hole retinal detachment surgery in patients with high myopia and posterior staphyloma treated with perfluoropropane gas or silicone oil.

TL;DR: C3F8 and internal limiting membrane peeling could represent the most effective strategy in highly myopic patients with macular hole retinal detachment and other tamponade agents must be investigated.
