Abstract: The aim of this paper is to offer a global view of Basque Journalism throughout its history, spanning more than three centuries, and hence, to fill the gap that existed in our historiography compared to that of the surrounding areas. From the production of news lists and the reception and reproduction of foreign gazettes by the first Basque printers in the 17th century, to the constitution of Company Journalism, moving on to Party Journalism during the 19th and 20th centuries (without forgetting the attempts of the erudite Basques to create newspaper titles in the country), and the revolution that the creation of the Internet has represented for the media, this paper takes a look at the main titles, companies, journalists and informative initiatives of the Basques.
