Introduction to the Theory of Statistics
TL;DR: In this article, a tabular summary of parametric families of distributions is presented, along with a parametric point estimation method and a nonparametric interval estimation method for point estimation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Introduction to the Theory of Statistics, 3rd ed.
Journal ArticleDOI
An Analysis of a Two-Way Model with Interaction and No Replication
TL;DR: In this article, the two-way array interaction model with one observation per cell is discussed and the model is given by Likelihood ratio tests are presented for two hypotheses: (1) no interaction (λ = 0) and (2) equality of treatments (τ1 = τ2 = … = τt).
Journal ArticleDOI
Confidence Intervals on Nonnegative Linear Combinations of Variances
TL;DR: In this article, a new procedure is proposed for this problem that is better than Satterthwaite's procedure and very easy to compute from existing tables, and it is shown that the procedure has been widely used for the past 40 years.
