The Origin of the High Conductivity of Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)−Poly(styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT−PSS) Plastic Electrodes

TL;DR: In this article, the secondary dopant diethylene glycol (DEG) was added to the conducting polymer poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)− poly(styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT−PSS) to improve its electrical properties.
Journal ArticleDOI

Transparent, Plastic, Low-Work-Function Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) Electrodes

TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed a low-cost, flexible, transparent, stable, and low-work-function electrodes for flexible electronics, such as displays and solar cells.
Journal ArticleDOI

Towards all-plastic flexible light emitting diodes

TL;DR: In this paper, the work function of poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)-polystyrenesulfonic acid (PEDOT-PSS) can be decreased from 4.8 eV to 3.9 eV by surface reaction with the strong electron-donor tetrakis(dimethylamino)ethylene (TDAE).
Journal ArticleDOI

Tuning the Energy Levels of Photochromic Diarylethene Compounds for Opto-Electronic Switch Devices

TL;DR: In this paper, the frontier energy levels and dipole moment of a series of diarylethene compounds have been calculated using density functional theory and a good agreement is found between the calculated electronic structure and the measured ultraviolet photoelectron spectra.
Journal ArticleDOI

On the switching mechanism in Rose Bengal-based memory devices

TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that the memory effect originates from filamentary switching, and a switch device consisting of an organic layer of Rose Bengal derivatives sandwiched in between indium tin oxide and aluminum electrodes was fabricated.
